Description:

I am a 5th grade LA/SS teacher, and my students have been swapping with other classrooms here on swap-bot through the group Classroom ATC. I thought I would try an open swap for other teachers who have an interest in providing a swap opportunity for their students! I'm going to leave the theme open for this first swap, and see if there is any interest out there. The swap rules are:

  1. You must be a teacher of a classroom of students
  2. Once you receive your partner, the two of you decide on the theme and number needed
  3. Your students will create 1 ATC each to match the number needed for your partner classroom
  4. You need to make one yourself for your partner teacher based on the theme you decide upon
  5. Mail your completed ATCs to your partner(or school if they provide the address)
  6. Rating is a requirement for this swap

I am keeping my fingers crossed that we will have a few interested parties! My students have done 4 swaps and they are SO excited over this project, and they BEG that I find more students to swap with. They are hoping for more international schools. Themes we have done are: Picasso style drawing, our Favorite 5th grade book, a completed classroom book, and currently they are creating a St. Patrick's Day ATC...the possibilities are endless!

We have swapped with little ones all the way up through high schoolers, and the excitement of getting mail for my students is half the motivator...they also LOVE creating their own work for someone else!

Use this as an opportunity to share knowledge, recommend a good book, provide art for your students in a memorable activity, or a creative way to remember information...

If you sign up, please list the grade/grades/subjects you teach below. I am hoping that this turns into something big!!!!!!!!! At least we could all develop a resource of teachers who want to classroom swap.

Here's to crossed fingers, a wish, and a dream!

I volenteered to do this with my sons class 2 years ago on swapbot, they had lots of fun! But I'm not a teacher.

@Candyn29 run it by your son's teacher...see if she would be willing to do it with your help!! :)

I teach a high school Paper Arts class with mostly freshmen in it. I'd love to do a profile based swap with my partner's class, if each student could send about three themes they'd be interested in receiving, and we can chose one of those.

I teach in a middle school (grades 6-8). Depending on who I get as a partner I will have 6th, 7th and/or 8th graders participate in this swap.
