CREATIVITY and COMPASSION over PUNCTUALITY
7/2018 - Having recently broken a bone in my foot (first broken bone ever!) which prevented me from sewing and driving, I am acutely aware how life (injury, family, travel, weather, retirement) can affect swapping deadlines (thus my recent 3). I just want to say I appreciate swapper creativity and compassion over punctuality. Especially now that I am retired I want to concentrate on being creative rather than stressing over deadlines. I enjoy crafting too much to be stressed with unreasonable swappers. As much as I have enjoyed swapping and hosting group swaps here, from now on I am going just do private swaps with like-minded swappers. Please PM me if you would like to do a private swap.
sewing, long arm quilting, machine embroidery, crocheting, clay, jewelry, ATC's, American Girl doll clothes making. I like to try most any craft. I am always looking for some new technique to try.
Now that I'm I retired - reading (and crafting!) are top of my list - after I find a place for 35 years worth of school stuff!!
Apparently I am a craft-a-holic (or just a hoarder) but I can't seem to pass up on craft things on sale or at garage sales. So, if you are worried about me liking anything you send me - don't! I love getting inspiration from other's work and bits and bobs from everywhere!
I really like all colors. I like black as an accent color for anything. Since having breast cancer pink has become a favorite color, too. I even rock pink hair every October. Rainbows (traditional or non-traditional) are cool, too.
I am really partial to denim - not sure why. (Maybe its a baby boomer thing.) I never seem to be able to get rid of blue jeans. I have visions of making an awesome denim quilt when I retire!
I also love batiks. Must be the 70’s child in me. Batiks and tie dyes appeal to me!
My birthday is (and my grandmother's was, too) on Valentine's Day - so I am also partial to hearts of any kind!
I love anything music related when it comes to crafts - stickers, paper, etc. I have bought sheet music at yard sales to use for ATCs but frequently can't bring myself to cut it up!
All kinds - I was a digital music teacher so I like to listen to most any kind of music just to be aware of it. My husband and I listen to country music most of the time at home.
As I mentioned before I love anything crafty, homemade or store bought that is music related!
I am pretty accepting of most everything - even the things on this list - but if you are looking for things I am not really into - here some are:
occult, horror, nudity, wicca, flakers!
But - I am happy getting most anything - even these things (well... except the flakers!!!). To each his/her own!

Just wanted to let you know I received 2 lovely postcards from Niaomi for the Back to school project quite awhile ago.. Glad she liked the Blackbeard the Pirate and the little wild pony postcards I mailed. I just think it was such a great project for you to undertake and hope the children had fan learning from all the postcards. Shirley

Greetings from Chile,
Camila.
Just wanted to say that I received a PC from your back to school swap from Jeffrey today. I know you did this to help your students, but you have no idea how much joy this brought to me. If you have any students who would like to continue to exchange postcards, let me know...either myself or one of my three middle school aged children would love to write to them!

I updated the rules in The Bargain Boutique and asked that everyone read and sign them. Unfortunately I don't see your name so I had to remove you. If you'd like to rejoin please let me know. Thanks!
