The first time writing to someone can be so hard and at times your letter can get so boring because you know nothing about their lives and they know nothing about yours. I hate the swaps that require that I use a certain type of paper because I always prefer to write on wide ruled note book paper. As for the length, I generally write long letters, but when a long limit is set, I stress over the limit of the letter and my letter doesn't flow as well. So this pen pal letter is for anyone out there who is like me. I don't care what you write on as long as in the end your letter can be read. As far as the length to be fair I will set a length, but it will be only one page for the notebookpage writers and 2pages for the stationary sized writers. If you are writing on anything else judge the size between these two. I'm also adding some prompts to help you out. you do not have to use these prompts. Where did you grow up? Do you have any pets? Do you have any siblings? Do you know what your your name means? What type of phone do you have? What did you do this past weekend? What are your plans for this weekend? What do you like to do in your spare time? What is the first thing you do when you wake up? What is the last thing you do before you go to sleep? What is your middle name? What was the last thing you purchased? What is your favorite holiday? What is your favorite day of the week? If you could meet anyone in history, who would it be? What do you like to do to relax? Are you a saver or a spender? Do you play any instruments? Childhood Questions What was your favorite childrens book? What is your first childhood memory? What type of kid were you (e.g. spoiled, rebellious, well-behaved, quiet, obnoxious...)? What is one thing you miss about being a kid? What did you want to grow up to be when you were young? you will only have one partner because I want you to devote your time to this letter and not make a form letter between the two or three people. Have fun with it. doodle on the paper. Be yourself. enclose a poem or a song lyric or your favorite recipe. Nothing that cost extra money unless it's a postcard. or something you have made. Last but not least put some art on the envelope, if you are not artistic, cover it in stickers or cut things from magazines and collage it. |
