Description:

You will have one [1] partner to whom you will send one [1] ATC. The ATC is themed "Breast Cancer Awareness" this first round of ATC making has a pre-set theme and the first one will be "One Tough Chick!". Make an ATC you yourself will be proud of to recieve, please no sticker-slapping. The first requirement is that the card must include the pharse "One Tough Chick!" somewhere on the front of the ATC. Please make sure you sign the back of the card with your name, Swap bot user name and the name of the Swap.

For those first time swappers. Artist trading cards (or ATCs) are miniature works of art about the same size as modern baseball cards, or 2+1Γ’Ββ€ž2 by 3+1Γ’Ββ€ž2 inches (small enough to fit inside standard card-collector pockets, sleeves or sheets. The ATC movement developed out of the mail art movement and has its origins in Switzerland. Cards are produced in various media, including dry media (pencils, pens, markers, etc.), wet media (watercolor, acrylic paints, etc.), paper media (in the form of collage, papercuts, found objects, etc.) or even metals or cloth. The cards are usually traded or exchanged.

I will allow non-rated users, because I was once a newbie and I know how hard it is to begin your ratings, but if you sign up please follow through with your commitment as well as adhering to Swap-Bot rules. And that goes for all others who sign up, please and thank you.

You are welcome to send other stuff in your envelope as suprises are nice and could generate you a well earned heart. Second requirement is that you write them a note or letter telling them why you believe so strongly in supporting the cause of Breast Cancer Awareness.

My plans are to host an ATC- Breast Cancer Awareness in the following themes:

1.One Tough Chick! - July

2. Celebrate Life - August

3. Give Cancer the Boot - September

4. Fight Like A Girl - October

5. Get Your Pink On! - November

I then will evaluate if this working. If I get less than 5 Swappers, I will really have to re-evaluate. Wish me luck and consider joining in on supporting such a great cause.

I am making this an International swap, because we need to spread the awareness all over the world.

I reserve the right to ban those swappers that have flaked upon someone or has the history of such behavior. However, I would not understand why anyone would want to do such a thing.

If you got questions, please email.

I really don't want to be flaked on THIS swap and I don't want to send to a flaker, so please take a GOOD look at everyone's ratings and history before assigning partners!

I will angel if there are flakers. I am hoping this is not the case in this swap;)

Wonderful idea for a swap! I would hope that such a swap that spreads awareness of breast cancer would not be FLAKED! Thanks for thinking up this swap.

There are flakers right now and it is disappointing to be flaked on, even if the hosts angels (this is my own experience, as a swapper and as a host), so I'd rather play it safe and leave.

To above commenters I appreciate your concerns about flakers. I believe in second chances and should you not receive your ATC I will angel you. Please give me the chance to coordinate this swap. And also respect other swappers ability to undo their past histories due to many life changing uncontrollable circumstances. Should you strongly feel I am not able to coordinate this swap, please please begin an Awareness Swap of your own...at least I can truly say I have helped to spread awareness and so will you.

I like these swaps!! I am an 18-yr survivor and my daughter-in-law is a 10-yr survivor of breast cancer. We are tough, celebrate life and LOVE pink! Count me in.

PInkart300m I just want to say I appreciate your attitude towards flakers. I think most swapbotters sign up with all good intentions but sometimes 'life' gets in the way. As a host, If you are willing to angel I think you are right in giving second chances as you see fit. Having hosted several series swaps my rule has been 'all are welcome at first. But if you flake on one in the series you will be banned from future swaps in this series '. Again it is up to you. But don't feel bad about others who disagree. It is your choice as host.
