Polaroid - the end of the affair

Polaroid fans, you will have probably heard - the company is discontinuing production of all instant films beginning this year.

I can't tell you how upset this makes me. I have wanted a Polaroid camera since I was twelve years old, and finally bought one last year. Eleven cameras later... well, I'm in love.

Then the news came two weeks ago. O, cruel fate! All of a sudden I'm scrounging around for spare change to stock up on film, so as to prolong my love affair with the magic that is instant film.

(Never mind that Fujifilm is still producing cameras and film... it's just not the same!)

The idea for this swap is to take a polaroid photo (whether it's integral or peel apart film) that is an homage to the art of the Polaroid. Be creative - you can interpret this however you like.

Then accompany the polaroid with your story - how did you discover Polaroids? What is it that you like about them? What's your favourite camera (if you have more than one)? And so on. Then send to your partner.
