Description:

Hello people! This is a handmade postcard swap, so please put some effort into it. You will send one postcard to two partners. Since the theme is recycling, scavenge around your waste bin and put in some interesting things :) watercolour, acrylic, mixed media, collage, layering - all allowed! Make your card visually attractive. Just make sure that everything is firmly glued down so it makes it though the postal system safely. No point in putting a ton of effort and time into something, only so it arrives in pieces. Go through your partner's profiles and try to send them something they would like to recieve.

CARDS SHOULD BE SENT NAKED (written and stamped). Include a message and the date! Cards should be the standard size - 4''x6'' or 5''x7''

I believe beauty lies in the eye of the beholder. If you receive a card you do not like, then that is your opinion. Your rating will only be based on the amount of effort the sender puts into the swap.

No unrated swappers allowed (sorry! But dont fret, i'll be hosting more of these depending upon the response), minimum rating is 4.9, no recent 1's or 3's! Contact me if you think you have recieved unfair ratings, we'll see if we can make it work.

If you have any questions, PM me and i shall try to be of help :)

Note!: the swap deadline has been pushed to 10th oct. I thought about it, and since people participating have busy lives to lead, and we don't want rushed work - we want QUALITY, so a little space to breathe :)

You might want to rethink your dates....

If the last day to sign up is 28th, the earliest you can assign partners is 29th. That means you need to check all participants thoroughly and assign partners early enough for overseas participants to get 2 cards addressed and in the mail the same day.

Given that you are allowing such a low rating as 4.5, you will have a lot of dubious profiles to wade through, if you are intending to do your hostly duty. That takes time!

Also, to profile-base two cards under those date restrictions is unrealistic, most people could probably only manage it if they had their cards completed amd just waiting on an address.

Profile-basing a handmade postcard using recycled materials is a swap idea I'm really interested in but truthfully, under the present date & rating guidelines, I wouldn't feel confident on receiving 1 or both of my cards AND would be concerned I wouldnt have time to profile base my own offerings in the timeframe.

It's a shame, because I would have loved to signup.

@CraftyLass
YES! when i created the swap, i did it through my phone (which turns out to be not-so-smart -.-) and it wouldn't let me change to the next month (October) for the send by date. I was meaning to change the dates as soon as i got my hands on a computer (which is now). October 5th - my birthday! :D Thanks for pointing it out though. And about the "low" ratings.. I'm relatively new to swap-bot, i didn't realise 4.5 was low! what would you suggest is a high enough rating? I don't want to put a clear cut 5.0... would a 4.8 be okay? Thanks for the guidance :)
