Hello together!

After my first swap I was a member I liked it very much to exchange stamps.

Everybody can share this swap. Also newbies! :)

The task of this swap is to exchange 10 different used or unused postage stamps. You don´t need to share it from the envelope paper. But it must be 10 DIFFERENT stamps, no doubles.

When you say standard american stamps I assume you mean the 1st class stamps used for everyday postage.the flag, liberty etc. Does that also include other US stamps, as I only use picture stamps of all amts. and would include some of those. Great subjects and pictures, like movie characters, states, historic persons, events, etc.

Zuzu 01/ 9/2013 #

If used, do the stamps need to be removed from the envelopes (e.g. steamed off) or is it OK to neatly trim the envelope?

milkiss 01/12/2013 #

I have a same question with Zuzu. I mostly keep stamps by trimming the envelope. Hope it's okay!

Schnattie82 01/12/2013 #

@debspossum the whole problem, which I have with the actual US stamps is, to remove it from the envelope paper, because the glue is very strong. ;-)

@Zuzu no the stamps must not be completely removed from the envelopes, just cutted out from the envelope paper.

Schnattie82 01/12/2013 #

Okay, I want to welcome our US friends. ;-) ;-p

Snowfairy 01/12/2013 #

I would prefer non US stamps if possible. Love animal bird bee stamps. Automatic heart if there is an owl stamp- even USA!!

lunadeurano 01/12/2013 #

I would prefer not tipical usa stamps ^^

walkaboutgypsy 01/12/2013 #

im from australia can i send australian stamps?

Kayenderes 01/13/2013 #

Where did it say americian stamps. Am I lost or something I am missing????

Zuzu 01/14/2013 #

Thanks @Schnattie82 ... in that case, I'm in the US and would prefer non-US stamps, but I also like older/less common US stamps.

Zuzu 01/14/2013 #

@Kayenderes the swap description has been edited - it originally instructed participants not to send American stamps unless they make sure their partner is okay with receiving US stamps. =)

NaddieNed 01/15/2013 #

Next time I will definately join! Bit too busy at the moment.

Anyone interested in private swap? Send me a message (will be able to send the 30th of January)

KogeLiz 01/16/2013 #

Confused - can we send steamed off stamps and/or stamps still attached to envelopes?

Zuzu 01/17/2013 #

I'm afraid I need to pass on this one... maybe next time. :(

barbieloufromKY 01/17/2013 #

Maybe this swap should "exclude" USA swappers since our stamps are USA stamps! Why wouldn't other countries want stamps from the USA? I'm missing something in translation maybe????

Nandin 01/17/2013 #

Maybe you should say "No Liberty Bell, Statue or America, of Flag Stamps from the US". Those are our common stamps, we have other nice picture stamps.

rsilvers 01/17/2013 #

So do the stamps need to be on or off the paper, or are both okay? I'd like to join but it's not clear.

ohrosieposie 01/18/2013 #

I agree @nandin I'm from the US also and despise those stamps. I have a good array of others though!

Ankica 01/19/2013 #

I don't have stamps which are on the envelope. I remove them from the paper. I hope that is OK because in the description it says that it doesn't have to be removed (voluntarily) and in the comment is says it must be on the paper... I hope no one will mind that I've did that extra job. :)

pne 01/19/2013 #

@Ankica : I think it's a language confusion. In German (which I think is @Schnattie82 's native language), "die Briefmarken müssen nicht abgelöst werden" means that they do not need to be removed from the paper (but implies that they may). Unlike the English "they must not be removed" which implies that they are not allowed to be removed.

marija 01/19/2013 #

I hope older American stamps are okay. I bought an old stamp album at a yard sale. It has stamps from 1934 to the 1981. Some are used and some are not. If my partner does not want even these old US stamps then I can provide modern non-USA stamps that I have taken off of envelopes addressed to me.

Pikkis 01/20/2013 #

I welcome all stamps, but would like to have especially stamps with birds and portraits of people (meaning the head as the main thing on the stamp)...

beinguided 01/20/2013 #

No common USA stamps please... Older (non-forever stamps) are fine. Thanks

musamaya 01/20/2013 #

I am reading here that some people are having special requests. what about if i do not have the type of stamps people are requesting ? what i understood is that it has too be 10 different stamps no doubles. I have close my envelope and sent 10 different stamps from my collection-from what i have. I hope that is o.k
