Description:

For this series of swaps, we will create one Christmas ornament for our partner in the color for the month. By the end of the year, we will have 12 beautiful handmade ornaments to put on the tree! January will be white. So create an ornament using any medium (except paper) that is predominantly white. Any other colors may be part of the ornament, but the majority of the ornament should be white. Knit, polymer clay, bead work, metal, wood, crochet, sew, etc. Anything is great, as long as it is not a paper craft.

NO recent 1 or 3 ratings.

Future colors:

February--Pink

March--Green

April--Yellow

May--Purple

June--Turquoise/teal

July--Blue

August--Gray or silver

September--Orange or gold

October--Black

November--Brown

December--Red

I have reduced the rating requirement down just a little bit. Sorry!

I have a suggestion...maybe create a flicker page where we can upload pics of the ornaments we receive? I'd love to see all the different ones.

marinda 01/ 6/2013 #

That is a great idea. I will see what I can do.

Ah! This is too bad, I make Christmas Ornaments often! In fact I just stored all the ones I was working on in my apartment for next years etsy sales!

is cardstock ok? or do you consider it as paper?! so no collage at all...nothing/no techniques that uses paper?

MyCountryLife 01/11/2013 #

I wish you would make one for regional. Shipping out to other areas is expensive.

marinda 01/12/2013 #

I'm sorry, no cardstock. You are more than welcome to create a separate swap that is for collage and paper ornaments. Or, one that is regional, @MyCountryLife .

@maxette Can you convert a paper type of object, by making it out of fabric? Perhaps felt? Just a suggestion, as this had me flummoxed for a while too, being a mostly paper/cardstock artist. Happy swapping.

Thanks for all the answers...I shall participate as it will be a nice challenge... @Lizard ...that's exactly what I thought...fabric, felt and so on... P.S : If you look at the image ...glass+ musics papers inside l!!!
