Description:

This second tag will have a fun Valentine Theme. Valentines are NOT just for lovers, spouses, our children, parents, etc. Friends send valentines to each other to express their joy in being friends, even if these are online friends we don’t officially “SEE.” REMEMBER that signing up for this swap does NOT commit you to every month’s swap. You may do some and skip some; YOU ARE NOT COMMITTING TO THE FULL YEAR! This swap is a chance to encourage ONE partner with a Tim Holtz style #8 size tag for February, containing words or phrases of loving encouragement for your partner's creativity and/or the life challenges some of us may be facing in this new year. (Please add that info to profile if you are working on a specific change or challenge in 2013.) Check your partner's profile for info or just go for loving encouragement in general for your partner. Then include two or three profile surprises that are flat, inexpensive, and won't be costly in postage. However, don't send something you would not be happy to receive! A couple small pieces of scrap paper or a couple stickers will not suffice. Send something you’d be honored to send your partner—check your partner’s profile for some things she/he would enjoy. These should not/nor need not be expensive, but they should show that you've chosen something that will make your partner smile based on her/his profile. PLEASE do not just send something you’d like to get rid of! Crafting Queens are artists who are proud of what they create and send to their partners! This February tag must have a friendship Valentine theme to fit the month. Some ideas might be: friendship, you are loved by you Swap-Bot partner, etc. Remember that we are Crafting QUEENS! We send items on which we are PROUD to put our names! This is basically no stickers unless used in true Tim Holtz/vintage/shabby-chic/steam punk style. Tim's products from embellishments to papers to stamps and dies include numerous encouraging words and phrases to give you some ideas, but you may come up with your own word or phrase as well, especially if it is a great fit for your partner, based on her profile. Google “Tim Holtz tags" or explore You Tube for video demonstrations of his techniques and style. Remember that the tags you’ll see are only for inspiration, not for items you must precisely reproduce. They are just starting points and ideas to jump start you creativity.

8 size tags MUST BE 3 1/8” wide by 6 1/4” long, with notched top corners and a hole punched in center top of tag. Use the hole in top of your tag for ribbon or cording that allows your tag to be hung on a banner, or any little clever spot your partner might like.

Wow-I just posted this last night and two are in and three are hovering on the watch list! Well, of course, I am one of the two in for the swap. Let's shoot for at least 20 swappers for this one! PM me if you have ANY questions or problems. Thanks--have a great week everyone!

I'm sorry--I missed seeing your comment until today--I had thumb surgery on the 23rd which slowed me down a bit. In office supply stores (cheaper than Ranger!) I found ones that were too small. But if you look for tag there that are marked as #8 size, that's the right one. Check the measurements above. Are your tags 3 1/8 " wide and 6 1/4"long? If so, you have the right size. Let me know if you don't have the right size and I'll send one to you. Just PM me if you'd like me to send one--I don't mind at all! I was confused at the beginning myself but had my daughter and her friends to show me the ropes! Be sure to put your mailing address in the PM so I can send it to you.
