Description:

I am slow, but I can be taught. :-) I believe that there is a preference to NOT hand cancel the envelopes. So, I have dropped that requirement from the swap and hopefully we will have more participants. I decided to use a picture of Russian hand cancelled stamps in place of our letters being stamped.

This is senderÒ€ℒs choice for the decoration. You may use any medium that you like. You can even make your own envelope for this one. The minimum size envelope is 4.0 inches by 6.5 inches. You can always go bigger!

You should include a note inside the envelope that states the name of this swap, your name and your Swap-bot name. You can always write more if you like.

So, send one nicely decorated envelope to one partner. And, VoilÑ - Mail Art!

Thank you for dropping the hand cancellation.

So just that I'm clear, this is about doing art on the envelope? I can draw, paint, etc? Both sides or just one? And then there is note inside. Is there anything else I should know?

Yes, this is all about the envelope! Decorate it however you would like (as long as it is still mailable). This does require a bit of effort. Don't just slap some stickers on an envelop. I don't think that you would do that but I wanted to add it for others that might read this. :)

Are these to be sent naked, or in an envy for our partners to send?

hereiam 01/28/2013 #

Good Question. These are sent naked to your partner, not in another envelope.

thanks for dropping the hand cancellation from me, too. it's sure a nice thing, but... i don't get to go to the post office too often, so this requirement always makes me hesitate... especially when i think of the long line there eek
