Description:

An easy swap to help us reduce the size of our stash pile, and go green at the same time.

You will make four (4) spring-themed dinner napkins to send to your partner.

  • Napkins must be between 16" & 18" square.
  • Edges must be finished (sewn hem or rolled hem).
  • Fabric is sender's choice, but you must use something that is spring-y in appearance and suitable for napkins. Think flowers, polka dots, stripes, and checks in light/bright colors. No novelty fabrics like Easter bunnies. Use cotton or linen.
  • The napkins can be made of the same material, or you may use a combination of coordinating fabrics. Maybe you have four fat quarters from the same line that you've never used!
  • You may add embroidery, yo-yo flowers, or other embellishments if you wish, but this is optional.

Here are some tutorials if you need tips.

Other swap rules:

  • Send on time.
  • Rate promptly and fairly. You may NOT rate down if you receive napkins that don't coordinate with your decor!
  • Communicate if there are any problems.

I just reviewed the Nine Minute Everyday Napkin tutorial you put in the swap info and they look so easy. But more to the point, so fun! Thanks for a great swap idea. I think I'll be getting started on mine soon!

TC - I just noticed you have that the napkins have to be 16 x18 but the tutorial I followed had a final size of 16x16 or 18x18 and I chose the larger size. I made the Nine Minute Everyday Napkins.

Do I need to redo them?

Oh, never mind. I just noticed it says between 16" and 18" square. I need my eyes checked. :-)

I did the 9 Minute Everyday napkins, too. Good tutorial and they came out great. :)
