I love all the Christmas cards that I received and hate to discard them. Let’s keep the Christmas spirit going through 2013! Let’s recycle those Christmas cards! I will be hosting a series of postcard swaps. Recycle a Christmas card into a postcard. Make the postcard 4” X 6”. The subject does not have to be the main theme, but must appear somewhere on the postcard. Below is a list of subjects for each week. If you have a Christmas card that doesn’t fit this list or think of another subject, please let me know and I will add it to the list. Wouldn’t is be great to have one for the whole year. Don’t discard those Christmas cards!

Would a pine cone be considered a Christmas plant?

Rich

pandakitty 03/23/2013 #

Yes. The plants could be holly, mistletoe (not sure this is spelt right), pine, poinsetta, fir, etc. Anything that is a live plant that could be used for decorating at Christmas

I've got soooo many unused ones that I don't plan to use (leftovers, odd ones from mixed packages, etc)...I need to do this swap over and over lol

pandakitty 04/ 9/2013 #

Not all Christmas cards are 4 x inch 6 or larger. I received a lot smaller cards on Christmas. So I do have some smaller cards. Can those be send? Or do we have to stick to the 4 x 6 inch rule?

pandakitty 04/14/2013 #

Check with your partner. Some people want only 4 X 6 because of the way they save postcards. Also, different size postcards, cost more to mail.

Gingerlei 04/15/2013 #

@Lucine and @pandakitty Could you glue your smaller Christmas card onto a 4x6 card stock and mail it?

Lucine 04/16/2013 #

@Gingerlei Yes, I could. No prob. Will make a nice postcard for my partners:-))
