Hi! I am a stay-at-home, psychologically disabled mom with a sweet little girl who keeps me running in circles, cats to keep me covered in purrs, and a good husband who tries to help me stay sane. It doesn't work! CHAOS REIGNS HERE! lol
Update: we just got a Netherlands Dwarf rabbit named Pom Pom (he belongs to my daughter). I think I'm in love.
My score is lower than it used to be. I have 2 ones and I would have 3 if one dear soul had not been so kind. The other two were no longer active members of Swap-bot... What happened is this: I got into a swap about memories, and accidentally stumbled into a hornet's nest of memories involving child abuse that I had kept suppressed for over a decade. I was so confused and generally messed up from that that I didn't finish the swap for about a year. I would have finished it sooner but I was ashamed for being so late, and as I saw it, so weak. I also dreaded having to explain what had taken me so long. It was totally my fault and I deserved less than I got. The people here are so generous! I will probably not be engaging in any swaps of memories again, so you should receive everything from me on time. :)
I someday want to be a published writer of both fiction and nonfiction. Right now though, I'm kind of finding myself and trying to get my insanely messy house in order while taking care of my daughter and kitties and now bunny. I spend my little bits of free time reading, embroidering, sewing, crocheting, knitting, scrapbooking, watching British television and anime, and playing Lord of the Rings Online or Sims 3. I am an ice hockey fan and a lover of music, the ballet, and the opera.
I used to want to be an actress on Broadway and still would love to play Lady Macbeth someday. I also love words and spend way too much time trying to figure out their origins or learn bits of dead or unusual languages. I'm really into Japanese right now but still know very little of it! I work on my stories in my head as I go but rarely have time to write them down.
Please note: everything will come from a smoke-free home, but our home does include cats and a rabbit, so if you're allergic, we might have a problem!
I am sometimes interested in private swaps! Just send me a message :)
Fave colours/ house colours - Green! Green is definitely my favourite. Think verdant fields in England...I also love purple. I wear a lot of red and black as well. - Blue and White (like the china) for bedroom - Our kitchen is done in cats and poppies with some strawberries--lots of blacks, reds, and yellows. Or it used to be. It's actually mostly undecorated now. Our current kitchen walls are just so hard to get a nail into! :( - Living room: fall colours. - Daughter's room: Blue and yellow - Bathroom: theme is Hello Kitty so bright pink, purple, aqua, etc - Pretty much, with me, earthtones are always a sure bet. You cannot go wrong with them and I can always find a place for them.
okay, I watch a lot of tv and I'm blanking out now Currently watching: Absolutely Fabulous, Gintama, Find It Fix It Flog It, rewatching Parks and Rec and TIger & Bunny, and Talking Tom, which is probably the cleverest show for kids out there. And for adults for that matter.
Also love the Marvel/Avengers movies, with fave characters being Thor, Loki, Black Widow, and Hawkeye
I save all sorts of junk to make into things and sometimes even get around to doing it. The first example I can think of is a hair barrette made from a dull old Sunbeam bottle opener. I am a bit of a hoarder and am trying to find more and more ways to use up my stash of stuff.
I am also wanting to learn to draw manga-style and to make woodcuts or lino-cuts.
Basically, if I don't know how to do it yet, I am either planning to learn or working on learning.
I love just about everything, but there are a few things I'm looking for:
(Monty Python and Gintama break most of my rules but I love it because of the bloody brilliant way in which they do it. But they're the only ones who can get by with it).
About Religious Items:
I am a Christian and a member of an Episcopalian church. If you do not believe that Episcopalians are proper Christians, please keep it to yourself. I would prefer not to be sent religious tracts of any kind or any kind of proselytizing material. I will gladly be friends with anyone of ANY creed provided they do not try to force their beliefs on me.
Christian stickers, cards, etc are fine with me, so long as they do not advertise a specific denomination. I find other beliefs very interesting and will not be offended by cards and such relating to them, with one exception: no Satanist stuff, please! And by Satanist I literally mean "worshiping Satan." I have never heard of Satanist stationary so I'm not too worried. lol

Not allowed to watch gory or very violent shows or movies or anything with lots of rude, gross, or potty humour. Not allowed Monster High, Equestria Girls, or other dolls/media that portray deathly skinniness as normal. Nothing racist, sexist, or generally negative about another group of people in any way. Please do not send religious pamphlets, books, or proselytizing materials of any kinds. Things with Bible verses, crosses, creches, etc are fine though, and texts and images from other religions are welcome as well; you can never start teaching diversity too early! I would prefer nothing Satanic be sent to my girl, though.
