Description:

Do you realize that itÒ€ℒs possible to send 4 envelopes of "happy mail" to 4 swap partners for about one-half the cost of a latte drink at your local coffee shop? At 46 cents per envelope, we can easily brighten the days of 4 people with a cheerful note and a lightweight flat surprise too (a recipe, a bookmark, a note card, a postcard, stickers, washi tape samples, etc.).

And, for no additional money, we can decorate our envelopes to make them special (we can make them out of decorative paper, or draw/paint/color/doodle on a plain one, or add some rubber stamped images, or use fancy colorful lettering, or cover with washi tape, or, or, orÒ€¦).

If this sounds like fun to you, come on out & play. While this swap is sender's choice, I do encourage everyone to look at their partners' profiles for ideas on what kinds of surprises to include that might make their partners smile.

Fine details:

  • 4 partners
  • One letter or note card written to each partner with more than just a sentence or two (please tell a little bit about you and what kinds of swaps you like to join and/or what your hobbies are). If you're crafty, feel free to make your own cards & envelopes; otherwise, store-bought is fine.
  • Add a lightweight flat surprise
  • Decorate your envelopes!
  • Have fun sending & receiving happy mail :-)
  • Minimum rating: 5 recently completed Type 2 or 3 swaps; at least 5 ratings of 5; and no 1s or 3s in the last 3 months.

Since this is a letter (46 cents), then isn't it a Type 2: Flat Mail swap? I just want to make sure we're not supposed to send a package or not.

Good question, @Lila84 To clarify, even though I have this listed as a Type 3 swap, it is not a package swap. The description of a Type 2 swap says "no craft component." When I host swaps that give the option of say, hand making envelopes, and decorating your envelope, to me I consider that being creative and therefore, being crafty and thus I feel it more aligns with a Type 3 swap, even though we are not sending packages.

I hope this helps.
