Description:
This is my first time hosting a swap! I haven't seen a swap like this on swap-bot, so here we go! This is going to be a series/round robin type of thing. You will have to make a mini handmade journal with a minimum of 10 pages (max. size is 5x7) that will be sent to your partner. Make sure your name, username and address is on the last page so it will be returned to you when it is full. This book is going to be used for MIXED MEDIA so please make sure that your book is made of a sturdy paper that can hold up to some beating. The time for the first swap will be one (1) week because all you have to do is make your book and send it. When you receive your mini-book from your partner you will be required to complete one (1) full page spread based on the prompt given. Don't forget to add your username, date and country to your layout somewhere. You will then hold on to the book until the next partner is assigned and send it to them. When the book is full you will need to return the book back to it's original owner. PROMPT: Find a beautiful picture in a magazine, cut it out, and make that the center of your art journal page. I hope this makes sense, if not please feel free to ask any questions. This swap will require a higher rating (4.5 or higher) because I will not be able to angel due to the nature of the swap. However I will allow newbies for this first swap and see how it goes.

Sounds like fun. Just wondering, is the prompt for the whole journal or will it change with each swap?

Hi, just wanted to clarify, we will only be making the book. The prompt is for the person who receives the book to fill in the first page. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

P.S. This is a wonderful idea by the way. Always wanted to do something like this.

Yes, this first swap will be just getting your book out there and the prompt is for the person that receives it and will change with each swap. I will set up the second after the first swaps deadline is up. This will allow time for the book to travel to the first person and for them to make their art before sending it on!

I just want to make sure I have enough pages...when you mean full page spread...is that the left and right side of the book or just one page.

Super excited! I work at a school, so I can use their coil-binding machine on my coloured card stock for this project. I love mini journals.

I am thinking of joining this swap. I have a couple of questions. Do you want the journal to be bound already or are we sending loose pages? Also, are we sending the journal entirely blank or are we doing the cover before sending? I am in a round robin right now with some friends and we are having a fun time with it.

I'm sure the journal should be bound. My question is, do we "color or paint" each page as in the example in your picture, is it totally blank sans cover and back with our name and address?

@Julybaby59 By full page I do mean both left and right side of the book.

@CherryLime Yes the book is supposed to be bound. The inside pages should be blank to provide your partners with a blank canvas to create their art. It is up to you if you would like to decorate the cover before you send it or when you get it back.

Why is the page blank when i click on the "Launch Gallery Slideshow"? Ive tried 3 different swaps, and all 3 come up with blank pages? I also want to know, where do people post pics of their swaps?
