Cup of tea for you and me International 2

This is a tea swap that is fairly easy and first class postage to send.

Send two tea bags to your partner.

These should be pre wrapped by the manufacturer. You can send a little note with the bags if you wish, or a letter or just a few words that say the swap name and your ID.

You can look at your partners profile and see their preferences and try to make them the happiest tea drinkers that day, or send your choice by just putting your hand in your tea bin and grabbing two bags and sending those to your partner. Or you can look in your tea bin and send the flavors you like the most or like the least or you can have your mom choose the flavors or you can have the cat….

Well this is sender’s choice; however we all know hearts come from looking at the profile and seeing the favorites.

If you wish, you can make a statement in the comments section to save your partner a trip to your profile of what you like and dislike, but remember it is sender’s choice.

I know I rattle on and on, so to sum it up. Two tea bags wrapped by the manufacturer. At least write your ID and the swap name, if you wish to send even a letter or note card you can. And it is sender’s choice. I will make this a pretty swift swap, because you could even have it ready before the partners are assigned if you wish. One week from sign up to send by deadlines.

Since so little is required, of this swap, I will make this newbie friendly and rating semi- friendly. I will angel any that needs me to, if you rate the partner a one for not sending. Rating can be 4.7, yes this is low, but it may give some that are wanting to raise a rating a chance and like I mentioned, I will angel. (If the sender has that many ones and does not send, this may be the swap that gets them the boot. )

Hello, I have signed up for this swap and just had a question about wrapping. The picture you have above, with the tea individually cased in the paper packet.... is this ok to send in international post? Would hate for my tea parcel to be quarentined and not arrive? Thankyou AngeCatz :)

Most countries accept individually wrapped teas.

The only one that may have an issue is Australia, and even then it is certain herbs/flavors not all teas.

Here is a quote from Australia's page of what cannot be sent.

**tea containing seeds, fruit skin (for example citrus and apple peel) and fruit pieces **

Scroll down to Plant Material and this shows the limits. Here is the link.

Other wise as long as you declare it, you are fine. I have seen situations that tea does not have to be declared at all.

To be safe do a declaration form, Most POs have one that can be printed out. I know I can send a pre -filled out form letter/package from home and not have to stand in line. This is the USA.

The USPS said for me to bring home a few forms and then fill them out so I do not have to stand in line.

If I have to correct postage on it, I can just take it in and mail it from the box inside the PO. And even then, I have been able to mail in a neighborhood box.

The quote disappeared.

Here it is again.

@AngeCatz I've sent tea all over the world and I've had no problems. Like fawncrafts said, only Australia is very strict. But if you're really worried, you can always ask your PO for a customs form to put on the outside of your envelope.

Just a reminder, please check profiles before sending teas! I cannot drink caffeine!

fawnscrafts 07/16/2013 #

I will remind all it is senders choice, however if you can delight your partner by sending something they like and can drink there is where the hearts are usually given!

And thank you for making this a top ten swap!

I have ti say this about the partners that have swapped tea with me. I have about four teas I dislike immensely and I have received them a few times. I just put them in my swap tea bin and send them off the next time I get a chance.

I also have learned to love many teas, since I make it different than a cup of tea. Many teas that are too strong to me for one cup taste delicious as part of a pot of iced tea. 3 flavors with 7 regular black orange pekeo teas.

It is only by getting the teas in swaps, that I feel to be a fair rating in my tea journal, I must try each type/flavor at least once. This has been such a delight, because now I rarely drink pure black.orange pekeo iced tea at home. Even hubby is liking the way I make different flavors that are just lightly flavored, so that we can enjoy it.

It is because of you all sending me the teas you like a lot or got one you didn't care for.

Well, I mailed my first tea bag today in another swap; can't wait to hear how this turns out. Do they have to be two different kinds of tea?

fawnscrafts 07/17/2013 #

I did not make different ones be a requirement in the swap, so it is up to the sender if they are different.

They can be the same or different, since I failed to make it a part of the swap.

I drink green teas or herbal teas, not cammamile or anything with mint (ewww) not a fan of mint anything.

CanadianCarole 07/18/2013 #

I just joined swap bot and this is my first swap, how do I find out who I send my tea to?

fawnscrafts 07/19/2013 #

@CanadianCarole I am assigning partners here after I check out all the swappers to make sure the partners will send, your partner will be assigned.

So give me a few more minutes and then go up to the swap send box. (up to the right of the top of the swap description). Scroll down and find the : See the Partners I send to. Click on that and then look down in the desktop bar and see the second window for your internet browser. Click on that and it will show in a smaller box the name and address of your partner.

CanadianCarole 07/19/2013 #

Is there just one partner per person then?
