Are you visiting a national park this summer? I am delighted to be going to two! Send a card from a national (not state or local) park you have been to.

Send a postcard from a national park to two people, naked, written and stamped. Those of you from outside the country, choose a card from a park that comes close to this idea.

Newbie friendly with well-filled profile. No rating filters although if you have a recent unexplained one I will ban you.

Just to be clear... Does the postcard has to be sent from the city/ town where the National park is located? Or can I just buy the cards at the National Park I visited this summer, then mail it out from home? The reason I am asking is- by the time the partners get assigned, I will be home. Also, I am assuming that, since it is an International swap, cards from Canadian National Parks are acceptable as well?

I'm pretty sure we just send a pc that is about a National Park. It would be really difficult for everyone to be INSIDE the park they are visiting during the same week. And it say "park you HAVE BEEN to". That's past tense.... so I'm guessing a park you visited this summer. If I'm wrong then I guess I will get rated down. But... I think most of us understand it to be as I explained from the coordinators description.

Thank you for the comment. Yes, I also thought it would be a logistical nightmare if everyone has to be actually AT a National Park sometime during the week (although, since I live in Philly, I can always use the Independence National Park, which is a walking distance from my place LOL!)

It's just that... since I am a brand-spanking newbie with no ratings under my belt, I totally cannot afford to get rated down for misunderstanding the description. It looks like a simple enough swap otherwise, and would be a lot of fun to participate.

I sent the coordinator a message telling her that there was a question regarding her swap so hopefully she will clear it up before the sign up deadline. :)

What a great swap idea! I actually have a pc book from a national park so I was going to join, but then realized that I don't meet the swap criteria since, sadly, I won't actually be visiting one this year. I hope all of you who do have a wonderful time, though! :)

Sorry I did not see these questions...I did not think to look as I thought it was straightforward! No, you do not need to mail the card from the park--it just needs to be a card from a park you have been to. You can mail it from anywhere. I did not intend to imply even that you had to have gone there this year. Parks in other countries which are akin to the US concept of a national park are acceptable as well.

Oh good! I am so glad I read some of the questios. 'Cause I have some cards from ZION National Park in Utah, USA. I've hiked all over Zion. The Copper Colored dirt and the copper colors are so beautiful. I even live 20 miuntes from the Bingham Copper Mine. One of the few still in the 'working' stages. So lovely to see the huge large hole in the ground. From MiniQuilt
