Description:

People seemed to like this swap, so thought I'd host #2.

This is a swap for those of us that love washi tape, letter writing, and making people smile when they get our envelope decorated with colorful washi tape.

You will have one partner and you will:

  • handwrite them a letter (no typing)
  • decorate the letter with patterned washi, deco, fabric or paper tape (Edited: You may use a mix of solids & patterns)
  • decorate the mailing envelope with patterned tape too (see my own sample above)
  • include at least 4 different 12” (30.48 cm) washi tape samples

Please send your tape samples on a nonstick surface that allows your partner to be able to peel off the strips easily. (Ideas: thin cardboard covered with wax paper, glossy card stock, a postcard with clear packing tape, small popsicle sticks, manila tags...

Here's a sample of a fun washi tape letter:

Great link!!

I would love to join this swap and was wondering if we could use solid colored tape also. I use these to coordinate with my patterns tapes. Like could it be a mix of solids and patterns?
Thanks!

@ReneeK yes, I'll allow a mix of solids & patterns.

Is 30.48cm close to a Standard RULER type? :) :) @Artybeth3 :)

ArtyBeth3 08/ 5/2013 #

@marge I just looked at my standard ruler that shows both inches and centimeters and yes, that would be the right size.
