Description:

I love Collaborative zines. I have hosted a few on this site and have thoroughly enjoyed the experience!!! For this zine I would like to try something different. You will have up to 6 partners (hopefully at least that many sign up). This zine will be a postcard zine. It will end up being a 4x6 inch sized zine. You will mail each of your partners a 4x6 sized postcard (sent naked!!!) WITH THE PICTURE HAVING TO DO WITH THEIR CHOSEN THEME with writing on the back (next to the mailing address) telling them about whatever theme they have chosen.

So..... here's what you do:

1-Join the swap!!!

2- Decide what picture/design you want the postcards you receive to have on the front and write about on their postcard. (you must be o.k. with a handmade postcard in case you pick a topic that is hard to find as a storebought postcard)

3- In the comments below tell us the theme you have chosen (ex. Poems, Quotes, Recipes, Favorite Vacation spot)

4-When partners are assigned you have 3 weeks to get up to 6 postcards bought, made, written on, addressed, stamped and mailed. POSTCARDS NEED TO BE AS CLOSE TO 4X6 INCHES AS POSSIBLE. DON'T SEND ANYTHING TOO MUCH LARGER OR TOO MUCH SMALLER.

5- When you receive all your postcards in the mail you can:

1- Tape all the fronts together with a cover and make an accordion album zine

OR

2- Tape two together, making 3 stacks of two, and then stack them and add a cover measuring 4x12 and staple. (I will send a few photos of how to do this after partners are assigned). YOU WILL DESIGN YOUR OWN COVER.

6- Any questions..... please ask!!!!

I choose Downton Abbey (the PBS TV show) if you don't know anything about it you can type Downton Abbey into google images and see a lot of pictures from the show.

My theme is winter. Describe what you like about it and don't like about it.

My theme is women empowerment and feminism. This could be quotes, images, your own stories or just important female figures.

I choose Botany: plant biology, gardening quotes, photos of a garden (yours or someone elses), plant photos.

The Beauty of Winter: second in a series. I am looking for beauty, inspiration, and the wonder of the season. NOTES: If you can draw or are good at painting I would love a handmade PC! I am requesting NO Chritmas/holiday or religious type PC’s

My theme is reindeer and moose (I am perfectly fine with handmade postcards).

Hello everyone, this looks great ... I'm excited to see which zines I will be part of. My theme will be trees/woods - images (handmade and not), quotes, thoughts, anything you like.

Because there is only 8 of us, I would like to suggest sending a card to the one extra person that you do not get so everyone gets 7 cards for their zine. Also, Please post pictures of your completed zine here: http://www.flickr.com/groups/2362909@N20/ I started this group so everyone can post. If you can't/don't want to have a Flickr account message me and I can post your photo for you.

^^^^ I am ok with that!

I have everyone sending to 7 instead of 6 so that we all receive a postcard from everyone.
