Description:

Sew, Crochet or Knit one set of two coordinating hot pads for your partner's kitchen. Receiving partners choice of colors -- post your kitchen colors / any themes in the comments below.

Hot pads are meant to withstand some heat from things fresh from the oven - so make sure they're padded well, and at least 6" in diameter. A loop for hanging is a must! Create something your partner would be happy to receive and proud to hang on her kitchen wall!

4.8+, at least 5 mail swaps completed, no flakers - swappers who do not meet these requirements will be dropped before assigning partners. Think you deserve an exception? PM me! <3

There are a lot of free patterns and tutorials for hot pads online, here are a few...

My kitchen colors are sage greens and off white and I have a birdhouse/ garden theme. I'll be quilting mine!

My kitchen colors are primaries with robin's egg blue walls & white trim, and I have a 40's/fruits theme.

I would love a hot pad in bluesas I do not care what colors my kitchen is, I adore the color blue dearly :)

Something sewn please! I do not care for nitting or crochet sorry!

teardrop - I'm sure your partner will honor your color choices, but if their only craft is knitting or crocheting, then that's the type of hot pad you'll receive.

I will be quilting mine also. My kitchen is accented in anything red! I'm so excited!

I'll be knitting the pad. I would love a quilted pad myself, thank you, color is not very important but please no neon colors if at all possible! Thank you, and I'm looking forward to this swap.

I will be sewing mine! My kitchen colors are green, orange and brown- nice swap idea!

My kitchen colors are red and shades of really light creamy brown "like a cup of coffee with extra cream in it, the only way I know how to describe it, smile..." I sew and I knit - clever swap idea...

I'm tempted to join-but only knit & crochet-I'd hate to get someone who is opposed to receiving these kinds of items.

I'd love anything in blues, greens, browns or off-white/beige.

I'm cool with hotpads made any way you like - my kitchen has curtains with retro looking lemons on them (seriously - think of the old fashioned 1950's curtains designed with fruit on them!). Green, yellow, beige and white would all work for my day to day use. But feel free to be creative and even do something related to the holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas. I can alwys use extra hotpads then so holiday colors would be fun too.

Thanks, Patty

I would love any kind of hotpads. My kitchen walls are pink. I'm gradually changing my kitchen accessories over to red, black & white so hot pads in any of those colors would be appreciated. I also like the idea of hotpads related to holidays - any holiday would do. Who ever my partner is - have fun with them.

My kitchen is barn red with sage green and brown accents. I don't really have a theme but, I love funky/eclectic patterns.

I LOVE ROOSTERS/CHICKENS - I have chickens all over my kitchen:)) Kitchen colors are cranberry, sage green & almond. I know I'll love anything my partner makes for me:))
