My friend @leistessa introduced me to PLP so we decided to give this new and exciting fun swap, a go!!! This is not an ATC swap...you are sending 9 decorated pockets. Your partner may or may not decide to use the cards as ATC to traded or however they wish to use their PLP. According to Jeanette Lang, the creator of PLP and PL: "Pocket Letters is a new way to send letters to your new or existing penpals. It's a penpal letter in pocket format. Basically, you fill all the pockets of a 9 Pocket Trading Card Protector and send the whole page to someone who wants to swap with you. This can be a one-time exchange or you can keep exchanging Pocket Letters indefinitely. You fill the pockets with anything you like (stickers, tea bags, a note, washi tape samples, pictures, etc.) A short note or letter is included and tucked into one of the pockets. Then the Pocket Letter is folded up and sent in a standard #10 size envelope. It's the perfect way to send and collect letters from other Pocket Letter Pals (ie people who are sending mail in this format) around the world and a convenient way to store them. They fit perfectly in a binder!" What's next?
Your pocket layout can be any configuration! it can go from right to left, left to right, diagonal or backwards...completely up to you! Mailing instructions:
This is senders choice, but please check profiles for inspiration. Please have a well filled out profile so your partner can create something geared to your likes if they wish. I will not be able to angel so please check your schedule before you sign up....do not disappoint me or your swap partner, please! Newbies welcome! |
