Description:

This is the second in a series of JournalPals swaps. In these swaps, you will be provided a topic on which to make a journal entry. Your journaling can be written (hand or typed), visual, or a combination of the two. Make whatever type of journal entry you would like -- however long or short, and send it on to 1 partner.

The topic for this swap is your personal mission statement. What are you all about? What is your purpose and what guides your decisions. Once you've created your personal mission statement, write/convey one step you are taking right now that shows your purpose in action.

Click here for information about writing a personal mission statement. Remember, your entry doesn't have to be written words, but this site will give you an idea of what to focus on.

You can create any type of entry that conveys your focus/purpose/life goals and an action you are taking now. Write a letter, make a list, create a brainstorming map, make a collage, make a sketch -- have fun creating an entry that is one or more of these things, or something else. It's up to you.

I will limit JournalPals swaps to those with 4.5 ratings or higher and whose current swaps have been sent. I've found that swaps with a large number of people tend to have a lot of flakers, so I will limit the swap to 25 people. If I have to drop people because we have too many sign ups, I will keep people who have successfully participated in previous JournalPals swaps (of course, this doesn't apply to this first one). I will do this so that swappers are more likely to be matched up more than once and have a chance to get to know each other. You don't have to participate in ALL previous JournalPals swaps to be included. I know that some topics won't be appealing to some.

I have created a group blog where swap members can post their journal entry after it has been mailed and received. You can either scan and post an image or type your entry. This is not a requirement, just an option. I plan to post all of my entries for this swap here. If you would like to post to this blog, e-mail me and I'll give you access. Click on the link above to see the blog.

Please post if you have any questions. I'm looking forward to creating these regular swaps and getting to know fellow journalers on Swap-Bot!

Whoops! The link about personal mission statements is MIA!

Thanks for letting me know that the link wasn't working. It should be working now.

So this isn't a whole journal, just a page?

AshleyShea 09/22/2008 #

This is a single entry. It can be as little as one page, or may be more, but it wouldn't be a whole journal.
