For this swap, take a PLAIN envelope and decorate it by creating a pattern all over using mark-making techniques involving ink, rubber stamps, paint, markers, stencils, doodles, handmade stamps, etc. Don't worry if you think you can't draw well. ;)

You can also create your surface pattern on a flat piece of paper and then create an envelope from that.

Details:

• any mailable size of envelope. Handmade OK.
• any solid color envelope/paper, including white or black.
• pattern can be done in any color - solid or multi.
• pattern can be a strict repetitive design or random all over.
• pattern design needs to span the FRONT and BACK of the envelope.
• no paper collage, stickers, washi tapes or other stuck on embellishments.
• make it interesting.
• have fun!

Completed envelopes will be sent EMPTY, meaning no goodies or extras enclosed. Although I do recommend inserting a folded piece of blank paper or recycled card stock to help the envelope keep its shape in transit.

On the back of your envelope, note the swap title so your partner will have no trouble rating you.
