Description:

This is one of my favorite swaps and I'll continue hosting them until Audrianne can take it on again.

In March we read the good news of Christ's resurrection. This month I'd like for us to read about his return to heaven, last command, gift of the Holy Spirit, and the forming of the early church (Acts Chapter 1 through Chapter 5).

As you read jot down a few notes with your thoughts, favorite passages and/or questions and send them to one partner.

It has been suggested we decorate the page/s of notes we send, maybe make it like an art journal. This is an option, but not a requirement. I don't want to add anything that would make anyone hesitate to join in. So, it is up to the sender what and how the Lord leads them.

I would enjoy reading notes in the comment section if anyone wants to share during the reading or after the send date. Again, this is an option not a requirement.

Bottom line: Read Acts 1 through 5
Send notes, questions or comments to one partner
Anything beyond that is optional

Do ask questions if I've made this too confusing.

I loved reading again, the beginning of the new church. It's impressive the leadership of Peter, after so many bumbling times with Jesus (denying him 3 times, jumping into the sea,to walk to Jesus, and sinking, telling Jesus he would not leave or die, but always redirected by Jesus) His very impulsive behavior got him into some dilemma's,but Jesus knew his heart. Healings done in Jesus name, not denying Jesus any longer, but preaching his heart out, because he had walked with the Savior of the world. How the church gave everything to one another who had need, everyone was an equal. Can you imagine if we would try to do this,we wouldn't need social security,or welfare. The couple who lied to the disciples about giving all they had,and paid the price-God knows everything, and our lies are known to Him. Thanks Joan for hosting another great series in the Bible.
