St. Nicholas Day-

celebrated on dec 6th- for all good little boys and girls- we're going to do it in september - lol

in europe St. Nicholas Day is a big thing. traditional celebrations included gifts left in children’s shoes (from which american christmas stockings developed).

in Germany, children still put a shoe outside their bedroom doors on the eve of st. nicholas day, and hope to find candy, coins and maybe a small gift or two in them. in the netherlands, children put their shoes in front of their chimneys in hopes of finding chocolates or small toys in their shoe when they wake.

good children receive treats – candies, cookies, apples and nuts

naughty children receive lumps of coal. ( i've been VERY good this year- how about you? )

let's do a modern twist on this awesome tradition -
think of this a "PROFILE based -fill the stocking" swap - only NO stocking- either a cloth boot or a cloth bag to hold your partner's treats ( you may make your boot or bag or buy one ).

look at your partner's profile- see what they like to drink, candy, scents they like, crafting items or holiday items they prefer or collect.

DOES NOT HAVE TO BE ALL STORE BOUGHT ITEMS! may be handmade, or thrift store finds, ect...

AS LONG AS THEY ARE NOT CHEAP, DIRTY, BROKEN, ECT...

MUST BE SOMETHING YOU'D PROUDLY DISPLAY or USE.

so here are the rules: you may pick and choose at your own discretion- but check profile first!

~ "boot" or bag to hold goodies in ~~candy of some sort ( watch sending chocolate because of weather ) ~~~a holiday or collectible item that they prefer ~~~~any sort of small crafting item they'd like ~~~~~a hot bevie packet ~~~~~~tealight candles ~~~~~~~use your imagination and be creative!
