Description:

Follow these 10 easy steps to send your partner some happy washi mail:

  • Step 1: Read your partner's profile.
  • Step 2: Choose 4 washi tapes from your tape stash you think will make your partner happy, and "wrap up 18-inch samples of each tape".
  • Step 3: Using those same tape designs, make your partner a washi note card.
  • Step 4: Write a note to your partner inside this washi note card. Tell a little about you and your day. Perhaps you'll write what you like about autumn. Feel free to write anything you want - my main point here is to write more than just "hi, here is the swap." :)
  • Step 5: Put the 4 washi tape samples into the note card.
  • Step 6: Put the note card into an envelope.
  • Step 7: Address the envelope to your partner and add your return address too.
  • Step 8: Put proper postage on your envelope.
  • Step 9: Decorate your envelope with, what else? TAPE :)
  • Step 10: Send this happy washi mail to your partner.

Note: Feel free to do Step 9, then Step 7, then Step 8. (See @user2637 s comment at the swap site, and my comment.)

I assume it's okay if I jumble up the order of steps 7 through 9...? I like to tape envies before addresses and stamps because otherwise I have to dodge around with the tape. Doing 9 first, I can then put the stamps / labels on top. :)

@user2637 by all means yes. I actually do it this way too - decorate envies and then add postage. :)

Doh, missed signups. Ah well, next time. :)
