Edited 11/7/16 - Snippet sizes (see the 4th bullet item).

This is a fun way to share some smaller pieces (snippets) of washi tape, perhaps from some of the samples youÒ€ℒve received, or even from your own rolls. Your partners can then use them to decorate planners, ATCs, postcards, envelopes, stationery, etc.

HereÒ€ℒs what to do:

  • Choose 2 pretty note cards from your stash (handmade or store-bought). One card for each partner.
  • Open them both up and on one side of each card, draw a small box. This is where you will write your name, swap-bot ID, and the name of the swap.
  • Cover the whole inside of each card - you can go right over info boxes - with clear packing tape. This is so your partners can easily remove your snippets of tape. After you cover the insides, turn the cards over and cover the back of the cards as well.
  • Now the fun part. Fill up the cards with different snippets of washi tape. Please make your snippets a minimum of 3 inches (7.62 centimeters). They can be all different colors, designs, and widths. It will be like a puzzle. How many snippets can you fit? The bigger your note card, the more washi snippets you can share Γ’β‚¬β€œ LOL!
  • Put each washi snippet covered card into a mailing envelope decorated with what else? Washi tape! :)
  • Send to your partners so they can anticipate and enjoy all the fun snippets!!

Who will come out and play washi with me?

Is there a particular size the snippets minimum?

@HelenG6 good question. Let's go with a minimum of 3 inches per snippet. That would be 7.62 centimeters.

When fitting your "washi puzzle pieces" together, you will have some spaces leftover. That's ok; you could put smaller pieces in those spaces, or fill them with decorative things, like a sticker (which would be there just for decoration, not for re-use.).
