February Tarot Reading (electronic)

This is the 3rd of a series of Tarot readings our group will do for 2017. Of course, as any ritualist knows, the third thing one does is to consecrate energy for the sacred space in preparation for a rite. Consecration is the dedication to a special purpose or intention.

For that goal, our tarot reading for the next step into 2017 will serve to consecrate our own energies so we can recognize and act on our own purposes. What is it we need to do? How do we get ready for what is coming? And then, can we actually consecrate ourselves to step forward?

This is an electronic swap, so we invite all members from around the great green Earth to join us.

Get into your sacred space. Take your favorite deck, shuffle and cut three times to the left. Then from the top of your shuffled deck, pull off the first card. YES, just one card will tell it all for the nest steps into this year. It means you, as the reader need to do a lot of sensing, looking and interpreting of this card.

Tell your partner what you see in the card that represents what they need to consecrate in their lives as we move forward into the new year.

When I did this reading for myself, I drew the 6 of PENTACLES Here is the imagery of a little girl kissing a frog. How magickal is this moment in Fairy Tales. It is the time of dreams come true! The card signals generosity from the heart, the impulsiveness of innocence, overcoming prejudice, and seeing beauty where others might perceive ugliness.

This is the second card of 6's, so its meaning for 6 would be reinforced if the recipient keeps receiving the same of anything: When the 6 is on a career path, she generally goes a long way due to her sense of duty and responsibility -- but also because she is genuinely respected and well-liked. You will find many 6s in careers such as teaching, healing, counseling, construction, the legal field and law enforcement, especially prison guards. On the negative side, the 6 can be jealous and small-minded, tending to be more focused on the little details while ignoring the bigger pictures.
