Newbies are welcome to join in. You must have a filled out profile. I will welcome newbies to my swaps until one of you does not send. Then I will ban newbies from my swaps. I understand how hard it can be to get started as a newbie, so if you don't burn me, I'll always welcome you. Just keep up your commitments and you'll always do wonderfully on swapbot!! For seasoned veterans, you must have a rating of 4.5 or higher with no no-sends at all. Any questionable ratings will be removed.

This is for USA and Canada only.

Photo is one I took of some little ceramic penguins I handpainted.

I really like this idea! Thanks for putting this together! My personal favorite themes are gingerbreadmen, santa, and elves, but I'm okay with any christmas themed items.

Valerie, thanks! I thought it was a cute idea!

I like snow, icicles, and especially stars! Please no Santa/elves/snowmen or religion-related themes! What size envelope are we using?

crochetjunkie 11/ 1/2008 #

any size envie, but since we are sending 3-6 items I'd like to see the packages not be too small. Make it a nice little package!! Something fun you would like to receive!

I like: stars, snowflakes, snowmen, any animals, Santa, nothing religious please. :)

I love everything Christmas related. I also like the idea of nativites and carols to be included. Thank you so much!

Thank you very much for opening to Newbies! I'm excited to be part of this fun one! Anything and everything Christmas would be great for me (religious or otherwise)

Eddita :)

Hi i like pretty much everything but not really into nativites. Thanks for opening this to newbies like myself! I do have snowmen themed kitchen stuff if that's any help!

crochetjunkie 11/ 4/2008 #

Like the description says, I will welcome newbies until I am burned by one. So let's hope that never happens! LOL I was recently a newbie myself and I understand it can be tough to get into some of the swaps you'd like to join because of a ban on newbies. I feel everyone deserves at least one chance, you know?

I'm excited to see so many people excited! LOL

I love any kind of Christmas as long as it is not too seriously religious. I mean, duh, Christmas is about the birth of Jesus. But some stuff can go too far. I tend to like fun and funny and whimsy stuff I get to "play with." LOL

For Christmas- I love snowflakes. My house is decorated in blue, silver, and white. The only thing I dislike is anything with gold on it. I don't mind anything religious and love things for my daughters as well. Thanks in advance!

How fun! I liked this idea so much that I am using this for an annual Christmas party gift exchange. Thanks!

pinkpeony 11/ 6/2008 #

Oh, and in regards to this list...what's not to love, but my favorites are snowmen, gingerbread, and angels. Can't wait!

crochetjunkie 11/ 6/2008 #

Wow, I'm flattered pinkpeony! I'm glad I could inspire someone!!

angelan 11/ 6/2008 #

Oh I am so excited to do this! I love gingerbread, pastel colors (like pink and green), whimsy, ornaments, and snowmen. I can't wait! Thank you!

marinda 11/ 7/2008 #

I love doves! Especially ornaments. I also love nativity. Anything to decorate my house for Christmas!

crochetjunkie 11/ 7/2008 #

Thank you everyone for joining in the swap and being so excited! I have had to assign partners early due to work obligations. Have fun! If your partner has listed what type of stuff they would like to receive, please take that into consideration when filling the envelope! Remember to send 3-6 items of one theme. For an added heart gift wrap the items! I hope everyone enjoys this swap!
