Description:

I recently saw a you tube video talking about 'happy mail' swaps on face book. How dare they steal our happy mail idea!?! We must take it back! :)

This is a type 3 because I'm leaving the 'happy mail' up to you. If everything you wish to send fits int a flat mail envelope, that's ok. But if you wish to send thicker or bulkier items, you can do that as well. This is not completely profile based, but please take time to look at your partners profile and sent items that he or she might really enjoy. This is, after all HAPPY MAIL! :)

This swap will be International. You will have 1 partner. You will send items to your partner weighing between 2 - 3 ounces (US). If your postal system doesnt use ounces, please use the equivalent to 2-3 ounces for weight. I can help you find an online conversion calculator if you send me a pm & ask.

You may send hand made items, but they need to be clean, in good condition, not torn, used or dirty. Some ideas, but not limited to this list are:

note cards with envelopes Sticker sheets stationery sets (2 sheets with matching envelopes) bookmarks dotee dolls posters adult coloring books Pocket Letters washi tape recipes blank journals or small note books items for partners family or pets (as listed on profile) food items (Check allergies and customs forms for countries) CD's or DVD's (check region) ATC's

That should give you the idea. I"m sure you can all come up with a few ideas. This is also a good time to review your profile, see if it is still current or if it needs more details. :)

I'm not going to give a dollar amount, as hand made items may be sent. This does not have to be high cost, but it IS International, and you are sending at least 2-3 ounces of Happiness. This should get mail that makes you smile to send and would make you smile to receive. If you receive something you just don't like, you can pass it on to another.

You will have 2 weeks from the time partners are assigned to gather your items and get them in the mail. Please be sure to check with your post office when mailing, to ensure the correct postage and if any customs forms are necessary. (If possible, I encourage you to purchase tracking, so you can see where your package is. This isn't a requirement, though.)

Now the nitty gritty:

You must have a 5.0 rating with 10 completed, rated type 3 swaps.
You must have a very well filled out profile. Lots of details!! You have to be active, with current ratings since May (2017), and >>you must sign in to swap-bot within 3 days of the sign up date so I know you are still active and online. Decorate your envelope! Make it HAPPY MAIL, after all. :) And ~~ Add a "Thank you for delivering our mail" message on the BACK of the envelope. Let your mail carriers know that you appreciate them. After all, without them, we wouldn't have happy mail! :)

For those who like to look at the participants that sign up - if you have a concern about a swapper who has signed up, please send me a PM about it. That doesn't mean I'll ban someone from the swap, but I am willing to hear your thoughts. OK?

If you don't meet swap requirements (ratings, not enough swaps, etc) please send me a PM - I may consider hosting a newbie swap, or a private swap. I want to give everyone a chance, but this would be very sad to have flakers on, and angeling could get difficult and costly. This is HAPPY MAIL after all, right?

Questions, comments or concerns? Please PM Me about it! I will see that a lot faster than a comment below.

Do we have to use 2 stamps? Coming from UK, I can use a single stamp to cover weight up to 100g and 25mm thick.

@piratejimbob87 - yes, i guess that is ok. I LOVE international swaps - my absolute favorites. But setting a weight goal is so hard! I need to edit the swap... work in progress! Thanks for asking!

Awesome, I have some used stamps that I'll use to decorate the envelope anyway, but yes I love happy mail too :)
