CF: Pretty Paper Strips #3

I am having so much fun with these cards and hopefully you are too! If you haven't tried one, now is your time. :) It's an easy way to use some of our many paper scraps - you know, the ones us paper crafters seem to have tons of?! LOL.

Here's what you'll do:

• Adhere paper strips to a piece of card stock and then layer that onto a folded card.

Your strips can go diagonally or horizontally/vertically and be in differing widths if you would like. I started out using just 1/2 inch strips, but was inspired by one of my recent partners to try varying widths. Thus, the card shown here is with both 1/2 inch and 1 inch strips. :)

• Add a biblical verse somewhere to the card (on the front or inside).

• Please write a note inside each card, perhaps telling a little about your day. Feel free to perhaps share a a prayer request and your partner can pray for you.

It's optional to add other embellishments.

Note: I've been using self-adhesive half or full sheet labels cut down into my desired layer size. I peel the back off the label and put it sticky side up, then add my layers to that. When I'm done, I layer that to the folded card. It saves quite a bit of time not having to glue or add tape to each strip. Keep an eye out for these labels at thrift stores, yard sales, etc. In fact if anyone wants some labels to try, send me a PM. I recently scored a whole box of full sheet labels at a yard sale!!
