Description:

For this swap, you will make a small journal, then fill out some lists and add some quotes and send to your partner. You will have 1 partner, and this will be an International swap. You must be an active member of the group, no unexplained 1's or 3's, and have a rating of 4.98 or higher. (If you are an unrated swapper, please contact me - I will be willing to do a private swap with you). You need to have a minimum of 5 rated, completed, type 2 or 3 swaps.
You must have a very well filled out profile. You need to sign in to swap-bot at least 3 days before partners are assigned, or I will drop you from the swap.
I will send an email (not a swap-bot PM) to your email address listed when partners are assigned. Please be sure that email address is current.

The send by date is not a suggestion! You need to send by the send by date. If you are going to be late, you must contact your partner and the host to explain why.

OK, now for the swap! :)

There are many methods to making a journal, and you can use whatever you wish. The pages shouldn't be smaller than 4 inches x 4 inches (4 inches = about 10 cm), and all of the pages need to be fixed together, with no loose pages.
You may type your entries, rather than hand write them, if you wish, but they need to be fixed to a page.
The journal needs to have a cover - you cannot just staple some pages together and call it good. (I will be making mine from envelopes I have received in the mail, but there are lots of ideas available, from very elaborate to very basic, in internet searches.) Your journal will need at least 10 pages for entries.

On the inside cover of the journal, write the swap name and your swap-bot ID

You may decorate the cover and pages however you wish, but if you glue bits on, make sure the glue has fully dried before you package it up to mail, and that everything will stick after the postal service juggles it around. :)

For the inside: First, you will add 5 lists in these categories: (Each list should have at least 5 items)

  1. Favorite crafts

  2. Places you would like to travel to.

  3. Favorite items to swap

  4. Websites you visit most often

  5. Free style - your choice of topic for a list

Then, add a minimum of 5 of your favorite quotes, and who said the quote.

You may, of course, add more detail if you wish. Listed above is the minimum.

When your swap arrives, you need to rate your partner. If you do not receive your swap, contact your partner and the host. I will angel for this swap. (If you have questions about sending, rating, angels, check the 'help' tab at the top of the page - lots of good info there!)

If you have any questions or comments, please send me a PM. :) You may start on constructing your journal and filling it out when you sign up, you don't have to wait until partners are assigned.
I typically assign partners by noon the day following the sign up deadline, and usually will send an email when partners have been assigned.
