Description:

This is going to be my second attempt at Pocket Letters (and hosting such a swap) so bear with me. I hosted one a year ago.

You will take 1 nine pocket page and fill it with anything you can find that your partner well like that is Christmas related. That's about it. The sky is really the limit on this one. Don't forget to include a short letter to your pal in one of the pockets!

Click here for a great explanation of what Pocket Letters are. Scroll down to the bottom left Gray box for free info. Also, doing a quick Google image search will show you what they can look like.

An easy way to send the pocket letter is folding it in thirds (like a regular letter) and placing it in a standard envie, just use extra tape and such on the seams.

So, that's about it? Try to give some variety. Like, don't do everything ATCs or everything recipe cards. Mix it up!

So want to join me? You need a 4.98 to play. No 1s or 3s in the past 6 months (no exceptions). Make sure your profile is well filled out. Newbies welcome. I reserve the right to ban as I see fit.

If you're an old hand at pocket letters, please feel free to join as well, just note, some of us have never done this before.

1 month to send.

Hi Meredith, I will be offline for the week prior to the signup/drop date. Just wanted to let you know so I don't get dropped due to absence of recent login/activity on swap-bot. Thanks for hosting this swap.

You can send them trifold as mentioned above but there is one very important part to that. Your envelope MUST be 1/4 inch or less in thickness to be sent as a letter. If you have goodies in the pockets they will almost always be thicker than 1/4" and that requires parcel postage (Ranging around $2.80). If you send it and they do deliver it will be with postage due to your partner. The PL can be sent in a 10x13 manila envelope flat usually as a large envelope letter but do require more postage, It all depend on the weight of the envelope for proper postage. Best advice is to take it to the PO to be weighed so that there is proper postage to insure a happy successful swap.
