Description:

Washi tape is fun to use for just about anything - letters, packages, crafts, artwork - you name it, you can add washi tape to give your creation a little extra flair. And it's always fun to get pretty new washi tape to use for your projects!

For this swap, you'll be sending out three different washi samples to three partners (a total of nine samples). You choose the design, size, etc., but feel free to take a look at your partners' profiles to see if there's anything they like or dislike. As for the amount, I'm leaving it up to each individual sender, as measuring out a certain length of washi may be difficult. Just please bear in mind that however much you send should be usable - let your partners enjoy it! Send as much as you'd want to receive. :)

EDIT: I’ve recently heard that 18-24 inches is a standard amount of washi to send. Please feel free to use these measurements! I’m sorry this wasn’t in the description sooner, but I still would like to carry through with this swap and see how it goes. If anyone out there feels that they didn’t get a fair amount of washi, even if your partner did send, let me know and I’ll send you some more.

This swap is open to anyone as long as you don't have many/recent 1's or 3's. Newbies are welcome to join. I will use my own discretion when deciding who is allowed to participate, but I want to keep it open to as many people as possible! I will angel as needed.

Questions? PM me or post in the comments down below.

Let's send some washi samples!

I've noticed that some people offering Washi suggest wrapping each sample so many times around a playing card. I would like to join this swap, but would feel more comfortable with more exact guidelines. For now, I'll put it on my watch list.

Is there a washi tape minimum?

TereDiane1954 03/19/2018 #

@WritersSoul she is leaving the amount up to the sender.

Hello, I haven't been on swap-bot in years so I forgot my login info, therefore I had to make another acct., hence I have to start all over with my rating status which sux like an upright. With that being said, I am a washi fanatic and this will be a fun swap to get me started building my status again. Can't wait!

Scratch previous message. I figured out my login info on old acct. Will be joining swap under that one.

as for what "type" can you send your sample in a envelope?

charlotte2525 03/29/2018 #

if you're sending 3 people packages are you receiving 3 packages?

Cinnamingirl 03/30/2018 #

In general 18-24 inches is considered standard. And @charlotte2525 yes you send as many as you receive.

This makes me nervous when someone doesn't start the swap when they're supposed to. I think I'll drop out.

@TereDiane1954 I’m so sorry for such vagueness! It’s the first swap I’ve hosted and I didn’t know that there were typical or appropriate measurements for sending washi. I spoke to another user about what would be used, so hopefully in the future I can create better swaps for everyone out there. Thank you for you interest! I hope next time you feel more comfortable joining. :)

@Churchmouse70 I sincerely apologize for that. I had family and friends for the Easter weekend and it completely slipped my mind. It was my fault and it was very irresponsible of me. We’re sorry to see you go!
