This swap is for those looking to make a new pen friend, and the swap is International, open to all countries. New swappers with a well filled out profile (3-4 sections) and at least 5 completed, rated type 2 swaps are welcome to join. International, and you will have 1 partner.
If you are not interested in continuing a pen friend relationship, this isn't a swap for you! This isn't just a 'write a letter about your day and I'm done' swap. While I can't require you reply to the letter, that is the purpose of the swap, and you should reply to your partner's letters, at least once, give it a try before you decide you have nothing in common.
For this swap, you will have one partner, and will write them an introduction letter. Talk about who you are, what you like, where you life, your hobbies and interests, your family, pets - introduce yourself. And look at their profile - see if there is something you have in common, ask them about a craft they mention or music or a movie they have listed. The purpose of this swap is to make a new pen friend. If you need some ideas about how to structure a pen pal letter, check THIS site. If you still need help, please ask me.
Your pen friend letter should be written on stationery and handwritten. Your letter should be at least 2 pages (one side) long, but you may certainly write more. If you don't have any stationery, pretty up your plain paper with designs, washi tape, stickers, etc., or if you have a good printer, look for printable options. HERE is one option .
This swap is profile based in that you need to look at your partners profile to comment in your letter. Your letter should be personal to your partner.
Mail art, aside from using decorated paper or stationery, is not required. You may decorate the envelope if you wish, but that is not a requirement. Tuck ins are optional, not required. Be sure to include your mailing address so your partner can reply to your letter! Be sure the address is clearly written or use an address label. As this is an International swap, you may be sending/receiving from another country.
Be sure to use enough postage, and mail on time!
If you are flaked on, and have contacted your partner and rated them a 1, I will angel this swap.
When I check profiles, if I feel that you need more information, or have questions about your ratings, or your open swaps, I will contact you. If you do not reply to those messages, I will "ban" you from the swap.
If you do not meet the requirements for the swap, and sign up anyway, you will be "banned" from the swap. That includes the number of completed, rated type 2 swaps!
No recent, unresolved 1's or 3's. Leave a comment on your profile or reply to the rating - something to show you are trying to make amends, or that you are at least aware that you have this rating. Show some responsibility and awareness. Communicate!
If you do not meet requirements, but wish to join, please PM me. I sometimes do private swaps with newer swappers.
If you have any questions about the swap, comments about someone signed up, please PM me, as I do not often check comments.
As host, I reserve the right to remove swappers with spotty history or who are listed as problem swappers in the forums. The purpose of this swap is to make new friends, so lets have fun and have a nice swap. :)
