Description:

Every year, I receive Christmas cards that are just too pretty to throw away. I feel like they need to be sent out into the world again, for someone else to enjoy the festive art. :) So, if you feel the same, here's a swap to re-use those beautiful cards.

  1. You will have 5 partners.
  2. You will send each partner one Christmas themed postcard. The card will be sender's choice. If you are fussy about your cards ("no Santas," "no religious cards," "no handmade cards"), this is not the swap for you. Send the card naked (not in an envelope.)
  3. Postcards can be handmade OR purchased, but they must have a Christmas/holiday theme. You can use the front of a regular folded card to make your postcard.
  4. Write a note on the back. Tell your partner your favorite holiday tradition.
  5. Send on time. No one wants a Christmas card in January.
  6. Rate promptly and accurately.
  7. Communicate with your partner and the host if there are problems.

I'm assigning partners rather early to allow plenty of time for cards to get to their destination before December 25.

Are the cards ones that are brand new, are ones that you have already received? Description says re-use, then point 3 says can be handmade or purchased. point 4 says write a note on the back, surely if these are being re-used there would be not room to do this. Just want to clarify which.

You are sending a Christmas themed postcard. How you get or create this card is up to you.
You can use the front of an old card that has no writing on the back.
Or you can use an old card that DOES have writing on the back, and adhere it to some plain card stock.
Or you can hand make a whole new card.
Or you can purchase a postcard.
