In this swap we will send a handmade tearbook to one partner (the papers can be different sizes but no biger than 10x20 cm).

Tearbook is an assortment of papers stapled or sewn into a book. You can tear papers out of it to use in your journal, mailart etc. In this swap the tearbook should be made out of vintage papers (you can add some new ones if you think that it fits the vibe or colours of your book but do not make it out of only new papers). The book should have at least 10 different pages (you can add more if you want).

You can add some vintage stamps or washi tape sample etc. to make your package even more special :)

Have fun swapping!

Have never heard of one of these, looks nice. Question - is there a page requirement?

turkucpodjadek 10/23/2018 #

Thanks! I forgot to write about it :) I added the page requirement in the description.

I’m pretty sure I know what you mean... something like Nic the Booksmith’s scrap sampler? Do you have a sample pic or video you can recommend?

10x20cm sounds very small book - it is even smaller than regular A5 sized book. I don't have any tiny books so should I drop from the swap then if normal books are not okay? :(

lilsiyh 10/28/2018 #

Well, I already decided to make smaller one. And since there is no examples what is tearbook, I hope I made good enough.

Hi! Sorry about late reply, I was in hospital and I had no internet. Lilsiyh, you can tear a page in half to fit in the book :) since they are for tearing pieces out, it won't matter if a page is whole or not. Just if you have some photos maybe try to have them whole in a book. I found some exmples on instagram of tearbooks that I have in mind. Here you have it: https://www.instagram.com/p/BpPfHhthnMT/?utmsource=igsharesheet&igshid=hb798leicbfq&fbclid=IwAR3CQZ9hkv02c8H0nVif9FCRI4yrMh3gpZrTqCuM1D9VuDQTQmu3V0EsfB0 https://www.instagram.com/p/Bi63xDVhzdU/?fbclid=IwAR3uo58P4I3PMBlcnjMRALjS779S-D5Tec8Nqxf9GE7dx1PFDzEDzal6xSI https://www.instagram.com/p/Bk-LYvNgp98/?utmsource=igsharesheet&igshid=n7aeznpma9ic&fbclid=IwAR2x-ggujwsMx1CzkgzYukg6UcR5bTbrh8bBpNToAcOgXXPaSy3XWXsE0 (here tearbook is used at the beggining of the video) Again sorry for the late reply, I hope you will see my comment before making your book :)
