My name is Lindsey (pronouns are she/her), & I'm 22 years old!
I'm studying to become a social worker, I am currently attending university to obtain my master's of social work (MSW) degree. I love talking about anything & everything social work - so feel free to ask questions or talk about things related to social work with me.
I've been sending happy mail via swap-bot for over four years now. It brings me lots of joy to receive mail from friends across the country and the world!
"It is very heartening to know that even when we get it wrong (i.e. being human) we can make it right with authenticity and kindness" - Irvin D. Yalom
I have two awesome pet rabbits!
Leo is our mini lop, and is around 6 years old. He is such a sweet guy and has a wonderful personality!
We also have Lucy who is a lion-head and is around 3 years old. She is full of energy and loves to zoom around our living room and sometimes even hops up on our furniture!
I’ve been getting into crochet a bit lately, I’m still in the very beginner stages though.
I love caring for house plants! I am nowhere near an expert, I would say that I am still in the newbie category when it comes to caring for plants. I have come to own quite the collection though, especially throughout the last few years.
I love writing to penpals, check out my Instagram (linked above) if you'd like to see some of the mail-art I create for them and some SB happy mail!
I love attending concerts & adore live music, the first show I ever attended was when I was only thirteen, it started a trend.
During my undergrad, I worked on campus at the library I worked there all 4 years (plus most summers in between) and I LOVED it! Libraries will always hold a special place in my heart.
(Recently (in 2023) I've discovered my love for historical/mystery/thriller books!)
"The Da Vinci Code" by Dan Brown is to blame for my new obsession - it quickly became one of my favorite books of all time!
"Everything Is Fine" by Vince Granata
"The Heart's Invisible Furies" by John Boyne
Favorite movies & TV shows:
I have many other favorites and listen to a pretty wide range of artists within my favorite genres. 1980's new wave/rock/alternative rock will always have a special place in my heart.
Some of my favorite themes include:

These are some types of items that I would rather not receive:
I will try my best to add personal touches to my swaps, whether it’s something mentioned from your profile or a common interest or a cute sticker or two on your PC. I’m thankful for anything I receive through swap-bot.
I mark sent after I drop mail into the big blue postal boxes or put it in my mailbox in the morning.
If you happen to not receive a swap from me, be sure to message me and I will always be willing to resend!
I always send on time and make sure it has correct postage, but please understand that sometimes mail can get lost!
Be sure to let me know if there are any issues, and I will work hard to resolve them. I hope you'll do the same for me.
I will always be open to adjusting ratings if you message me and are willing to work things out. I know life gets in the way sometimes and no one is perfect, just please be open to talking about what happened and I will be happy to adjust my rating if I feel that is the right thing to do!
This site is above everything else supposed to spread joy and kindness through the act of sending physical mail, I want my account (especially) to be treating people with the same kindness I would also like to receive!
THANK YOU for taking the time to read my profile; happy swapping!
