Hi, my name is Catherine. I live in a small village in the south of the Netherlands. My background is in textiles and fashion design, but I made a little switch last summer by becoming a part time Mad Scientist! When crafting, I like to PLAY with different media like paper, collage, paint and I love to make prints with my gelli plate. Lately, I have been drawn to making junk journals and all the ephemera that go along with them. As you can see, I like a lot of different things, so when swapping with me, just follow your heart and inspiration!

*I recently discovered how much I love TABS! So if you happen to have a punch that makes tabs, I would love some!

*I love to create with GLASSINE enveloppes and manilla/kraft TAGS.

*Always in for TINY bits of lace, tule, translucent fabric or paper and tiny buttons or brads.

*DIE CUTS are great (especially Tim Holtz ones)

*HANDWRITING (on shopping lists, letters, invoices, receipts etc.)

*Vintage BOOK PAGES or cutouts for example from old schoolbooks or children's books.

*any other vintage or vintage style EPHEMERA like tickets, maps, handwritten letters, office supplies like ledger papers, food labels/packaging, security envelopes, love!

*SHHHHHH (I have an ENVELOPE addiction and make my envies myself when possible).

*I love coffee and tea alike.

*recycling/reusing is cool and so is THRIFTING. I love old paper items (can you tell?).

*EMBROIDERY/sewing/stitching (also,on paper). I would love to learn about sashiko!

I do not know what I prefer on postcards, the front or the back! Handwriting and stamps make it very special to me. So I will like anything you send me!

I love colors, all of them! Bright, pastel,watercolors, aged surfaces, rainbow, metallics...as long as it is done with taste!

POSTAL UPDATE 01-2020: there are new guidelines for mail send overseas. Every envelope that does not contain documents only and is a little bulky, will be considered as a package (even a teabag counts as bulk). For me personally, this will mean sending my swaps as flat as possible, and sometimes, without extras.

Themes I like are : vintage encyclopedia - alphabets - handlettering/quotes - travel/maps - airmail related items- birds - japanese (textile) prints - watercolor effects - flowers/botanical prints- beautiful illustrations.
