Birthday: February 5
Country: United States
I am 54 years old and my birthday is in February. My profile name Poohtat is because one of my first tattoos was Winnie-the-Pooh. I have a lot of tattoos. I am retired. I live in Maine with my husband, two grown sons, five dogs, two gargoyle geckos, thirty-two mourning geckos and twenty-five tiny dart frogs. Our house is loud, messy and fun!
My husband is my best friend and soulmate. I could not imagine life without him. My sons are wonderful young men with special needs.
Four of my dogs are Jackabees. This is a Beagle/Jack Russel cross. They all have the same parents but from different litters. Their names are Bailey, Barnum, Bella and Bunky. My other dog is a Rotti/French Bulldog mix named Snuzie Q.
I love words with friends. I’m not very good, but I try! My words with friends name is poohtat. Just Incase anyone wants to play!
I like my postcards written on, stamped and mailed. (No envelope needed)
I have had multiple surgeries on my right(dominant) hand, wrist and elbow and rotator cuff surgery all on the same arm. Because of this, sometimes I will type my longer letters. I use a handicap pen which is the size of a mini baseball bat! If I have many cards, notes and postcards to do in one day, I will write as much as possible, but please understand i want to participate, but may have to send a typed note. I also do not mind if someone sends me a typed note or letter instead of hand written. Anyone may have a limitation and I would prefer something typed instead of being flaked. Thanks for understanding. Recently, finally, diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. Some days are good and some not.
I do not pass on what is sent to me if it was homemade. Your art means a lot to me and I know it was special to you. I KEEP all artwork, ATCs or homemade items I receive :). I love knowing someone put their time and love into the craft.

I like country, classic rock, pop. I have a wide variety of music I like, but nothing classical.
Some of my favorites are Bob Seger, David Bowie, John Folgerty, Blake Shelton, Eric Church, Brother's Osborne, Nickelback, Neil Diamond, CCR, Kid Rock, Imagine Dragons,
I love crime mysteries.
My favorite authors are Jonathan Kellerman, Stuart Woods, James Patterson, Tami Hoag, Tess Gerritsen and Kathy Reichs. I also like Faye Kellerman, Richard Castle, Stephen King, Dean Koontz
My favorite movies are the Minion movies. The Bourne movies. The Kingsmen, Leaugue of Extraordinary Gentlemen, and Mission Impossible series.
I don't go see any movie in the theater as the large screen makes me very sick. I get motion sickness even if I watch a tv larger than 50 inches!
I am not very crafty, but I enjoy what others can do.
I love photography and have taken some classes with my husband. We love to take a day and go out shutter bugging.
It is always interesting to see the photos we each took of the same place but we see it so differently. Greg sees the big picture overall and I focus on the small details like a bug or a mushroom.
I have begun experimenting with paper crafts. I am doing some ATCs and find they are a lot of fun along with JAMs. I am getting into smash and junk journals. Every scrap or small item I come across I now put in my little bin of treasures to possibly be used in my next project. Crafting is difficult for me as I have had many surgeries on my right arm, hand and thumb. This past July I fell and fractured my left wrist and tore two ligaments in my thumb/wrist. So now both of my thumbs are limited in range of motion.
Right now I am loving the painted rock craze.
I love my tiny little dart frogs. They call all the time. It is really fun to hear frog sounds in the middle of a snow storm in February! I am using stock photos from Google of the dart frogs as I couldn't figure out how to upload my own photos.
Leucomalas is a tiny yellow and black frog known as the Bumble Bee frog. I currently have four of these frogs and hope to raise some tadpoles next Spring to add three more to my tank. These frogs are very sociable and hop right up to my hand when I am feeding them.
Vittatus is a tiny frog that has a black body with a blue belly and an orange/red stripe or stripes down its back. I currently have 14 and three tadpoles. They have a very loud call. We can hear the upstairs tank calling when we go downstairs and hear the downstairs tank upstairs!
El Cope Auratus is a tiny Blue frog with black stripes and spots. I currently have three of these frogs. Their call is a low vibrating purrlike sound.
Epipedobates anthonyi 'Santa Isabel', commonly known as the phantasmal poison dart frog frog, is a small, bold, and colorful frog. These frogs are also known as SIs or Santa Isabels. They are a brownish red with very bright light green stripes. Very loud call!
My favorite television shows are Criminal Minds, NCIS, NCIS LA, NCIS New Orleans, The Blacklist, Fargo, Elementary, The Rookie and The Big Bang Theory.
I think Kawaii characters are so cute!
I just wanted to share a group on Facebook called
From The Heart
This is a group that will send a card to an elderly person. It also allows you to see the names so you can pick someone to send a card to. This is such a great idea because the elderly can get very lonely. There is another group called
Comfort and Joy
that sends a card to anyone else that is not elderly. Please check them out.
