Description:

This is National Poetry Month! It is also National Letter Writing Month! And,the Emily Dickinson Museum is located near where I live, in Holyoke, Massachusetts! Emily Dickinson Museum

I learned some new things about Emily Dickinson in our trip to the museum last year. I learned that she was a prolific letter writer all her life, and that she loved to bake (though did not like any other household chore!) And I thought this combination would make a nice swap. :)

You will have 1 partner for this swap, and it is an International swap within the group. It will be a flat, lightweight swap.

You will send a copy of one Emily Dickinson poem (you may type or hand write the poem, any length is fine.)

You will send one recipe for baked goods. Emily specially enjoyed baking bread, making coconut cake, and ginger bread. So, if you have a special recipe for one of those, please do share! But any baked good recipe is fine, as long as it doesn't include a packaged mix in the ingredients. Please write or type out the ingredients and directions clearly!

Finally, you will include a letter to your partner. Letter may be handwritten or typed, that is up to you. Length and stationery is optional as well. Take your time and write a nice note to your partner, but I don't want to add requirements to length or paper style. Letter topic is up to you. Maybe you want to share your thoughts on the poem, or where the recipe came from. Or write about something different, that is fine. :) This is not a pen pal swap, so a reply is not required (not that I have control over that). Include the name of the swap and your swap-bot ID in the letter.

Send on time! This is not profile specific, so you can get started now! :)

When your swap arrives, please rate your partner! If you received a poem written by Emily Dickinson, a recipe for a baked good, and a letter, please rate a 5. If you don't care for the poem or recipe, please don't rate down.

If you have any questions, please send me a PM. I will reply as soon as I can. :)

(This is a 'recycled' swap from one I hosted last year, as a public swap. So, if it seems familiar ... I"m being Earth Friendly, and recycling!)
