Description:

I hosted THIS SWAP and it seemed to be well received! It was a nice surprise. So I thought that if the retail market to make 'black friday' and 'cyber monday' last for 6 weeks, our snail mail world could extend National Letter writing day! :)

This will be a quick turn around swap! You will have about a week from partners assigned to mail by date, so if you can't write a letter in that time period, please don't sign up!

You can look at the last swap for more details, but overall, you will have 1 partner - International swap - and will write a letter to them, any subject, but it's really special to take the time to read their profile and comment on their profile, to find common interests. This isn't a 'write a letter and get a rating' swap - Enjoy the art of letter writing, or 'vintage social media' as I've seen it called, and have a conversation on paper.

Your letter can be typed or handwritten, on stationery or plain paper, and you should write about 2 pages (2 sheets or front and back of one sheet) of paper about 5x8 - or about A5. It doesn't have to be exact, but if you are using smaller paper or writing larger, please add another page. You can write about anything, but details about yourself should go beyond what is on your profile. As I said, look at your partner's profile and try to comment and share. You can always write more, a longer letter! Most of us letter writers enjoy that. :)

As this swap is all about the letter - it's a requirement that you do NOT include tuck ins - extra bits, stickers, note sheets, etc... Just the letter and the envelope. Be sure to include the swap name and your swap-bot ID so your partner can rate you!

You are not required to reply to your letters, and this is not a swap for finding pen pals. Sometimes it happens that you 'meet' someone and wish to continue writing - that's great! - but it's not a requirement of the swap. If you wish to continue to write to your partner, please contact them directly.

If you are not sure how to write a letter, you can check out THIS LINK It's not a perfect example, but it might help you out. :)

If you are flaked on, I will angel the swap. If you have to send late, please let me (as host) and your partner know - communication goes a long way! If there are any issues, please send me a PM and let me know what's going on.

Now, who can join. New swappers are allowed in the swap with a very well filled out profile since your partner needs to comment on at least one point of your profile. The more info you give your partner, the more they'll have to connect with. What is a very well filled out profile? You should have several sections of things about you, your likes and dislikes, collections, interests, etc .... You don't have to give all your life's details, but you can paint a picture of yourself with words on your profile.

All swappers need to be current on your swaps - no late sends on your dash! Any 1's or 3's need to be made up to the best of your ability, and if you have any 1's or 3's w/in the last year, it's probably a good idea to PM me ahead of time and explain. All swappers need to have very well filled out profiles.

I will check through profiles before assigning partners, and I will ban anyone I think may be a problem. I may contact you ahead of time, but I don't always, though i do try to leave a comment. If you know of any problem swappers or double profilers, please send me a PM with the information and I will take it into consideration. But please do not leave a comment below as I may not see it as quickly.

For new swappers - partners will be assigned on Dec 6th, by noon (I'm in the Pacific time zone). You should receive an email from swap-bot when partners have been assigned, and directing you to come back to the swap to find your partners. To find your partner, look on the right side of the swap description and you will see 'see who your partners are' (or something like that) and a new window will pop up. When you drop your letter in the mail, please click that you have marked it sent. Swap-bot assigns partners, I do not have any control over who you are paired up with. Once the swap sign up ends, I just check over the list again, and click a button and the computer bits and bops assign partners. It's like magic. :)

If you have any questions Please PM me rather than leaving a comment below, as I may not see it until partners are assigned. Admittedly, I forget to check comments until the end.

For now, I'm only hosting this International version rather than including a USA only version as well, though I may do a USA only version later on this month.
