Writing Challenge #3

I am taking this over for Autist for the time being. I am thankful for the opportunity ! If you have any ideas for prompts, please let me know.

For this weekly swap you will have ONE partner in which you will send ONE poem, prose or short story based on the key word prompt. Please write the swap title and your name.

They can be sent typed or hand written. The length must be between 50 and 500 words. Page decor and or illustration is optional. You don’t have to be amazing writer, you just need to enjoy doing it. This can be fiction or nonfiction.

This weeks prompt is: mummy’s

(As in a body of a human being or animal that has been ceremonially preserved by removal of the internal organs, treatment with natron and resin, and wrapping in bandages.)

This is USA swap only. If you receive a poem or short story that falls between 50 and 500 words, please leave feedback appropriately. . Please be sure to put swapbot title and name on it somewhere. I will post the next prompt when this one has been assigned, so please watch for it!

I do not put a rating requirement but I do check every profile before assigning partners. You must not have any unresolved 1s or 3s and no more than 3 in the past year. You must have at least 5 type 2 swaps. If you are banned it is because you did not meet requirements. Will angel if necessary. Happy Swapping!!

Just to Help Everyone mummy's is spelled:

mummies

Yes, plural is mummies as Sleepingover says, But it's correct as a possessive as in the "the mummy's hair was all intact." I like this prompt as I'm reading a fascinating book about frozen mummies found at the top of Andean mountains. I learned quickly that mummies do not have to have been embalmed as in ancient Egypt, the Andeas ones were frozen, were wearing their own clothes and a few looked like they did in life.

Hey! Thanks to you both. I had thought of that, and then just thought I’d just leave it. I appreciate it so much. Thanks for clarifying for everyone! To you both! :)
