Let's create an Artist Trading Card (ATC) celebrating the moon! For this ATC, you'll create a unique work of art featuring the moon. It may full or crescent or phases, surrounded by stars or not. Take your inspiration wherever you find it and devote an ATC to our nighttime's most visible celestial body.

You'll have one partner and create one ATC for them. ATCs must meet the following criteria:

  • ATC size is 2.5x3.5" (64x89mm)

  • ATCs must be created using a sturdy base. If it flexes easily, it's not sturdy enough. Bristol board, acrylic paper, thick cardstock, etc. are all acceptable bases - printer paper or scrapbook paper are not.

  • ATCs must be sent in a protective sleeve or envelope.

To Join Please read this very carefully. This swap is open to brand newbies as well as seasoned swappers, but you must meet the following criteria to be able to participate:

  • You must have a fully filled in profile.

  • You must have an address listed. If your address is "Ask Me" or something along those lines, you will be removed from this swap.

  • You may not have ANY unresolved 1 ratings. That means that it must be clear that you worked to resolve the 1 based on your rating responses, and the swap must not be owed to a swapper who is still actively participating on Swap-Bot.

  • You may not have received any 1 or 3 ratings in the last year.

  • You may not have any overdue swaps sitting on your dashboard.

  • You must have logged in at least 36 hours prior to partners being assigned.

  • You understand that I reserve the right to ban you from this swap for any reason.

In a Nutshell

  • Create one ATC that meets the ATC criteria listed above, that features a the moon.

  • ATC may be either profile or landscaped orientation. Sender's choice.

  • You may use any media you wish - collage, mixed media, stamped, hand-drawn or painted, etc. Please put your best effort forward! Because the art form is sender's choice, you can start at any time and do not need to wait for partners to be assigned.

  • You may NOT sticker slap, cut out a picture of the moon and call it a day, or otherwise send a piece of paper with the moon on. This is a mini work of art. If you're unsure, please do a search for ATCs to see the many and varied techniques used to create them.

  • Make sure that you annotate your artist information on the back of your ATC.

The Administrivia

  • Include a note with your name, username, and the swap name.

  • This swap is open to international swappers. You must be willing and able to send outside your country of origin.

  • Send on time. Sending late without communication warrants a 3 rating and permanent ban from any future public swaps that I host.

  • Rate according to the Swap-Bot Rating Criteria. Failure to rate your partner or to rate correctly, not rating or having to be chased for a rating will also result in a permanent ban from any future public swaps that I host..

  • If you are going to be late sending, make sure you let your partner and me know prior to the send-by date.

  • Hearts are purely at the discretion of the rater.

  • I fully vet my swaps; however, that is not always a guarantee against your partner flaking. It is my role as swap host to do everything I can to see to it that you're not flaked on; however, if you are, let me know. I will angel this swap after you rate a 1.

Just a heads up, you mention 2 topics. One is the moon, and the other is a snowflake :)

Thank you. I think I've corrected all instances of snowflake. :)

I am primarily a digital artist. Is it ok if I create an artwork digitally and print it on thick cardstock. If you are concerned please look at my Instagram in my profile :)

@MaggieJeanne - My child is a digital artist too so I know the kind of time and talent needed to create artwork digitally, especially to the degree you do on your Instagram. Having said that, it's been my experience here that, when given the option to do digital work in addition to the more "traditional" media listed in the swap description, people take whatever images they find on the web and print them out to send. Clearly, that's not the case in your case, but for this swap, I think I'm going to have to say no to digital work. I'll definitely consider it in future swaps though. But check your messages - I see you're new here and I'd be happy to do a private swap with you.
