Description:

Many art enthusiasts are familiar with the famous paintings by Henri Matisse, however his health issues also made him a talented paper collage artist!

For this swap we will use Matisse’s paper cut-outs as our inspiration to create a colorful, collaged PC for our partner.

Henri most often began with paper that was pre-painted rather than manufactured dyed paper pieces. We may use either, following the basic concept to create a cohesive piece of art using cut out shapes of color!

  • ONE Sturdy PC w/adequate postage affixed
  • Minimum PC Size: 4x6” (10.16x15.24cm)
  • Maximum PC Size: 5x7” (12.7x17.78cm)
  • Mail naked, or using a clear protective (removable) sleeve or envelope.

Please refrain from using clear packing tape or contact paper for card coverings

  • Paper pieces need to be well affixed on the PC using a PVA glue, gel or similar matte medium.

This art has to travel safely to it’s destination for the recipient to enjoy! It’s disappointing when mail art comes damaged, missing pieces, or needing re-glues. So, let’s all put our best efforts into sending a PC we can be proud of!

  • Please remember to include your user ID & this swap’s title

Due to significant delay in mail services outside of North America, I am restricted to coordinating regional swaps until further notice.

If interested, please feel free to coordinate any of my swap ideas internationally!
