Description:
CALLING ALL USA CROCHETERS!!! The name of this swap has been changed slightly but this is the same swap that was formerly "Stained Glass Window 6" Grannies - USA" PLUS we will be sending to only one partner rather than 2 from here on out. For this swap we will crochet (sorry no knitting) two 6" varigated granny squares for our partner. We will use only one single skein of varigated yarn for each granny, any colors, any pattern. When these varigated grannies are stitched together to make an afghan, a blanket or a bedspread, they will resemble beautiful stained glass windows. This swap is open to all active group members. I will angel if need be but I don't anticipate any problems within this group. Newbies welcome with a fully filled out profile.

Are the squares supposed to look like the example pic, with black as the last row? Or is that added when joining?

No you don't add the black border. Only use one varigated yarn to make 6" squares. Each person will choose whether or not to add a border later.

Are any type of granny squares allowed as long as they are 6” by 6”?

Yes, any pattern can be used, as long as they are 6 x 6.

Is variegated the same as ombré (shades of blue) for this?

In case anyone else was wondering, too, bettflow messaged me that for this swap ombre was fine to use. 👍
