I am a mother of 7 children ages 5-19. I love to do crafts as a sanity break.I enjoy crocheting, knitting, quilting, sewing, making ATCs, and getting happy mail!
A year ago I was looking forward to this school year as my very first year to have an empty house during the day! All kids in school, what would I do? More crafts, get a part-time job? Sadly Covid-19 has flipped my dream upside down. Instead of my oldest 2 moving out and all other kids in school during the day, all 7 are home all of the time! Wow how fast a dream can be shattered. All schooling is now online including the ones that were supposed to going to college. We are using K12, so all of them were sent computers and books. Our kitchen table looks like a computer lab! It's not all bad. I do love spending more time with my children.
I grew up in southeast Idaho, in Rigby, but currently live in Port Angeles, Washington. It is on the top of Washington's peninsula. I can see Victoria, Canada to the north over the ocean waters of the Juan de Fuca Strait and the beautiful Olympic Mountains to the south. I graduated with a Bachelor's in Business Administration when I was pregnant with my second child. I have been blessed to be able to be a stay at home mom for my small army of children. Keeping up with them is a full time job.

Crocheting is my favorite craft. I especially love making amigurumis. But I also make hats, gloves, afghans, bags, etc.
Knitting is also fun to do, but dangerous with children. I have gone to the bathroom to come back and found my children sword fighting with my knitting needles and my project on the floor, all my stitches dropped and mangled. Crochet hooks are less interesting to boys, thus I do a lot more crocheting.
I also love to piece quilts. It is fun to see how different fabrics work together. I was in a group where we did an ugly quilt contest. Everyone donated fabrics we didn't want that they thought were "ugly". The coordinator organized the fabric into bags. Each of us took a bag and made a quilt. Every quilt turned out amazing! These ugly fabrics we didn't like were changed into works of art. Truly an life changing event that has helped me look at life and fabric differently.
I love turtles, especially sea turtles. For Mother's Day last year my kids gave me a sea turtle with the phrase "Live at your own pace".
I love sunflowers and it is my kitchen's is theme.
Fablehaven, Beyonders, Septimus Heap, Harry Potter, Bartemaeus Trilogy, Searching for Dragons, Lockwood and Co, etc.
I love a good mystery, but also enjoy classics like Pride and Prejudice, Emma, Lord of the Rings, etc.
All the Marvel and DC movies. Star Wars and Star Trek. Disney. Musicals, Bollywood.
My favorite Chinese series is called Eternal Love. Definately recommend, amazing story, excellent acting, beautiful sets and costumes.
I have 7 children. Please choose who you would like.
Gideon 19, favorite colors are black and red.
Eva 17, favorite colors are pink and teal.
Cecelia 15, favorite color is purple.
Gildon 13, favorite color red.
Ishmael 10, favorite color blue.
Gabriel 8, favorite color green.
Gavin 5, favorite color purple.
My girls would like bath bombs, lip chap, gel pens, yarn (Cecelia crochets), paint (Eva paints), ironic/corny backpack pins, fun socks, etc.
My younger boys enjoy legos and building blocks, small cars, dinosaurs, candy(anything but black licorice), glow sticks, etc.
My older boys would enjoy headphones or another small electronic.
For yarn or fabric swaps I prefer bright colors. I don't like pastel colors as much. Also, please no character prints.
I would love any sunflower fabrics as I am working on a wall hanging for my kitchen.
I always send and I try to always rate. Please contact me if you have a problem. I have 7 children at home and life can be crazy.
I usually rate a 5, but have had to rate 1's for the following users: Rose8990, sticheddreams, tashia9965, peachyplum, Cmarsh13. I never received the swap from them. I have messaged them and recieved no response. Some have read and ignored my message others seem to have left Swapbot entirely (their last sign-in date was months ago).If someone needs some extra time, I will gladly wait to rate if I receive a message. No swap and no communication will get a 1. I will happily change my rating to a 5 if they contact me. I totally understand how life can be crazy and the postal system unreliable. I've had two packages lost by the USPS in the last few years. One was to my sister who also lives in Washington. The other one April 2020 was an order from Amazon. The tracking shows it arrived in my town on the delivery day then the next update showed it was in Wenatchee, WA which is 6 hours away and then no more updates. I have lived at my current address for only a year and a half and have had the postman misdeliver my mail to someone else (luckily they dropped it off) or deliver someone else's mail to me 6 times. If you contact me and say you mailed it I will trust your word. Please message me and let me know your side. Complete silence from your end is very frustrating to me.

I have to admit that I couldn't wait to open it seeing that it was from you. OMG!!!!!!!! I can't believe it. I am so spoiled! I LOVE love LOVE the octopus! He is just perfect in every possible way. Thank you so much. And the soap scent reminds me of times when I lived where I had an actual winter.

So I did something very small, but I think helpful! I was coming into the apartment building and there was a young lady struggling with her groceries so I let her in, both doors, as the building is locked. So she didn't have to put down and pick up the 10 or so bags she was carrying, she honestly looked exhausted! I think she was a Shipt delivery person, though she did have keys so maybe just one of the many people getting some shopping done after work, I hope she got a good tip!
Have a great day!
