I'm excited, I love butterflies! My name is after the butterfly MelissaBlue! I have just started atc's, well I just learned about them, I was unsure before. This will be my first one I make, but I make cards all the time for people using cloth, sketches, paper templates etc.. I don't know if my partner will like mine, but I can promise to do my best!

If I am unsure i always ask, as to likes etc

I think anyone would be proud to get a little work of art from someone who seems so enthusiastic about the project. I love butterflies also and think that is really neat that you were named after one. If you do your best you can not go wrong. =]

Great, I just made my two very first ATC's today and fortunately they have butterflies on them, lol. So I think they are coincidently perfect for this swap :). I'm in!

anrtist 03/12/2009 #

That is so awesome kalimorgana! this is a hobby that is so much fun & there are some great creative artist in here @ the bot! you will have a great collection book before you know it!!! and i suggest you start off by writing the location of where atc came from on the back as soon as you get it in (if it isnt already on there) because people want to know, (and you will too later)!!! They like to see that, esp if from other countries! cc

Is this swap okay for newbies? I've been wanting to start making ATCs and I love butterflies so I'd love to join this one. I've been doing lots of reading and research on ATCs.

shootforthestars4 03/16/2009 #

I have been in ATC for just one in the March senders choice and now I'm hooked.I like butterflies too so will start mine quickly so they will be ready to send to my partner. Hope she will like my attempts as I am a newbie at this too. Have been doing research also.

BrauerGirl 03/20/2009 #

Emeraldcharm14 03/21/2009 #

Hi! The swap is open to all swapbot members with a rating of atleast 4.8 I will be starting a Butterfly ATC swap for newer members tonight - Saturday.

Missysmom 03/23/2009 #

I believe the correct measurement for ATC's is 64 X 89 cm. That seems to be where it lines up against my inches.

Missysmom 03/23/2009 #

Oops- that's 9 X 6.5 cm. I had it marked in mm.

Turtle 03/23/2009 #

The correct size in U.S. measurements is 2 1/2 inches by 3 1/2 inches.

mling 03/28/2009 #

According to Art in Your Pocket (located here: http://www.cedarseed.com/air/atc.html) "the dimensions of the ATC must be 2.5"x3.5", or 64x89mm."

gramsbuttonbox 03/31/2009 #

my swap is sent - I do hope you enjoy them, Mary

Artistic 04/ 8/2009 #

An envelope went out to my partner today. It's coming from the U.S. Enjoy!

candigirl 04/16/2009 #

cittylou, You will also know that your ATC is the right size if it fits perfectly into the little card sleeve...the ones you usually receive them in...they are little plastic sleeves that are the size of baseball cards, you can buy them in the baseball card section at Walmart or Target..they are made to fit 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 cards...

Just a reminder the mailing deadline is fast approaching! Don't forget to rate your partners for their sends. I can hardly wait to get mine, mine went out in the mail already.
