Description:

Please don't hate me for this swap! I listened to a few podcasts about haunted dolls recently and read a book about Peggy the Doll and Harold the Doll, so it seemed like a good topic!

Dolls! Playthings for little girls - or boys. All sorts of sizes and shapes and varieties. Why would they be haunted?

For the swap You will have 1 partner, and the swap is International. This is a type 2 swap, so a flat letter will work fine.

First: what is your opinion of haunted dolls? Are you interested/curious, or scared? Would you want to view them, or do you care to stay away?

Second: Did you ever play with or collect dolls? Do you have any in your home now, or are they banished? Ever had experiences?

Third: Look up any one haunted doll - just quick online research is fine, no need to buy books if you don't wish to - and tell your partner about the doll you read about. Do you think it's haunted? Or just a hoax?

You do not need to use these links, but if you want somewhere to start, This Wikipedia site lists a few, and This Smithsonian magazine article talks about the history of dolls, including some of the haunted dolls - watch out for pictures, though! And This article also talks about some of the more famous haunted dolls. Again, watch out for pictures.

So, that's the swap. Just write (or type) a letter to your partner with those 3 questions. Try to write at least 1 page (A4/8.5x11 size), decoration and stationery are up to you. If you include any photos of the haunted dolls, please include a 'warning' to your partner! Some really don't like the pictures! (I can't say I blame anyone for that!)

If you have any questions or comments please send me a PM and I'll reply as soon as I can.

Photo is from a Google search for the Island of the Haunted Dolls. I cannot imagine going to that place, at any time of the day! Josh Gates has visited a few times and I loved his reactions - laugh myself silly each time! The Fandom article can be found here, with a few photos
