Description:

My Dear friends,

Did we not have fun at my card party last evening? There is nothing so enjoyable as a spirited game of cards, no matter the game. I thought as a diversion we should make a set of cards for other such evenings. These cards shall be unique to our village being created solely by us. What a perfect past time for those rainy afternoons.

This shall be a progressive swap in which we make six cards at a time, we shall all be making the same cards, so there is no confusion about who has received what. We will begin with the suit of diamonds and craft the Ace, two, three, four, five and six of diamonds. The face of the card should depict the number or face on the card and the suit, but the back of the card may be decorated as you like. To keep the cost of postage down, these cards should not be heavily embellished, nor should there be any protruding pieces over the edges so they may be stored easily. You may make the backs of all six of your cards the same, or you may choose to be creative and assign a different design to each of them. The choice is the senderโ€™s in this swap. Use your imagination, add a little whimsy by making the royalty prominent people of our time or use those lovely fashion plates for your images.

To give the fine details, we will be making six playing cards which are the size of an ATC which is 3 ยฝ x 2 ยฝ inches or 9 x 6 cm, which shall be the Ace through the 6 of Diamonds for this round. The back of the card is senderโ€™s choice in design, the front should give a clear depiction of the suit and number/royalty of the card. When you send your cards to your partner, why not write a little journal entry about your time at the card party.

Letโ€™s have fun with this swap. If there are any queries, please do ask, we are all happy to assist.

With kind regards, Lady Elizabeth

Having vanished down the rabbit hole that is "The World Of Playing Cards" website, that card is a specific type that looks exactly like that on the front side and was blank on the rear. If that helps? Xx
